Nearly a year after Cadillac’s EV crossover was confirmed for Oceania, General Motors has just announced that orders for the new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq are officially beginning in Australia and New Zealand.
The automaker has revealed pricing and final details of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq for Australia and New Zealand, where it will begin taking orders ahead of the imminent arrival of the first model of Cadillac’s new electrified lineup in local dealerships. As such, the company’s Australian subsidiary has finally launched the 2025 Lyriq and is preparing to take customer orders on the local sales platform.
“Lyriq sets the standard for the future of Cadillac in the region, and we are thrilled to be officially taking customer orders this month,” said Managing Director GM Australia and New Zealand, Jess Bala. “This is a significant milestone for the launch of Cadillac in Australia and New Zealand with customers able to order their new Cadillac Lyriq online,” she added.
Following the brand’s international marketing strategy, the new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is available in Australia and New Zealand in distinctive Luxury and Sport trim levels, providing bold styling for different customer profiles. The differences between both variants are basically aesthetic with bright finishes on the Luxury and blacked-out moldings on the Sport, as well as a unique front grille design and wheels for each version.
Mechanically, all 2025 Cadillac Lyriq units for Australia and New Zealand come standard with a GM two-motor setup and AWD, offering a locally homologated output of 388 kW or 520 horsepower. The powertrain is fed by a 102 kWh Battery pack allowing the crossover to travel 530 km or 329 miles between charges, based on the WLTP cycle.
Customers can now order the new 2025 Cadillac Lyriq in Australia and New Zealand, both at the brand’s regional site and at the all-new Cadillac Experience Centers in Sydney and Melbourne with expert advice from brand ambassadors. The 2025 Lyriq for both markets is built in right-hand drive at GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
