The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq debuts the all-electric crossover’s third model year, bringing with it several important updates and changes. As covered previously, these include deleting the base-level Tech trim and reducing parts by 24 percent compared to the 2024 model year. Now, GM Authority is starting to get bits of information about the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq in the Canadian market. But it doesn’t come from GM; it comes from the Canadian government.
Natural Resources Canada, also known as NRCan, has published range and efficiency ratings for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq. By and large, the numbers are the same or better for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq compared to the 2024 model. For the Lyriq RWD, the range boosts from 505 km to 525 km. For the AWD variant, it’s up from 494 km to 513 km. As for combined energy consumption (a lower number is better), it improves from 23.8 kWh/100 km to 22.4 for the RWD model. Although the combined energy consumption is unchanged for the AWD model, the highway rating is a little better.

Assuming the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) gives the USDM Cadillac Lyriq similar ratings as NRCan, we can expect range to improve from 314 miles to 326 miles for the Lyriq RWD and 307 miles to 319 miles for the Lyriq AWD. Similarly, the combined MPGe rating could improve from 88 to 97 for the Lyriq RWD, but could actually decrease from 89 to 87 for the Lyriq AWD. Even if the combined MPGe rating drops by two, it will have a negligible impact on estimated annual energy costs.
These favorable range and efficiency ratings are especially welcome considering the improved horsepower ratings for the USDM 2025 Cadillac Lyriq. The Lyriq RWD improves from 340 horsepower to 365 horsepower, and the Lyriq AWD gets a 15-horsepower bump up to 515 horsepower.
Under the body panels, the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq once again rides on the GM BEV3 platform, with GM Ultium Drive motors and GM Ultium batteries providing the motivation. Both RWD and AWD variants will be offered, with production for the North American market taking place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

The new Range estimates are better on that Cadilac Lyrica up to 325 hwy miles but wondering the reserve capacity and cost to recharge the fuel cells from a road side charger . Also how long does it take to recharge ?
