The 2025 Cadillac CT4 introduces the luxury sedan’s first-gen sixth model year with only modest updates and changes from the previous years. One exterior paint color, Midnight Steel Metallic (color code GXU), was retired from the palette for 2025, while two new hues – Deep Space Metallic and Typhoon Metallic – were added as indirect replacements.
This post looks in detail at the new Typhoon Metallic color option.
Designated by color code GBW and touch-up paint number WA-235K, Typhoon Metallic is a sea green exterior color and one of the nine paints offered on the non-V-Series 2025 Cadillac CT4. The full list of hues offered on the incoming CT4 model year including the following (with color codes in parenthesis):
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
- Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Wave Metallic (GKK)
- Deep Space Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
- Typhoon Metallic (GBW – new for 2025)
The Typhoon Metallic color is offered on all three trim levels of the 2025 Cadillac CT4, including the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trims. In all cases it is an extra-charge option priced at $625.
Typhoon Metallic can be combined with all interior colorways of the 2025 CT4 with the exception of the Sangria with Jet Black accents (color code H0L) that is offered exclusively on the Sport trim. For reference purposes, the following interior colors are available for the Caddy sedan:
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents
- Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents
- Cinnamon with Jet Black accents
- Sangria with Jet Black accents
Pricing for the 2025 model year of the CT4 marque was first revealed by GM Authority back in May of 2024. Buyers can choose from a cornucopia of packages and options to customize their sedan, as is expected for a luxury nameplate. At the vehicle’s entry level, the Premium trim starts at $36,390 MSRP when equipped with RWD and $38,390 for AWD.
Meanwhile, starting price is set at $42,490 for the rear-wheel drive configuration and $44,490 for the all-wheel-drive variant of the range-topping Sport trim level. A $1,395 destination freight charge included in these prices. The official configurator is currently available on the Cadillac site.
For motivation, the 2025 CT4 carries one of two available engines under the hood. Standard for all three trims is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine furnishing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
Optionally, buyers can choose the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine rated at 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, which can be selected as the powerplant for an additional $2,500.
Under the body panels, the 2025 CT4 continues to ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform, with production of the 2025 model year taking place since June at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

Better with a green but still not there. Just doesn’t look quite right.
I’ve always liked greens, but they need to be done correctly in the right tone. Of course, it also depends on the model it’s on. I’ll be looking forward to seeing what this looks like in person.
How was Camaro not making $ at its sales volume and CT4 & CT5 does at this low volume? But they laid off about 1600 workers when they dropped Camaro & will build EV here (with fewer workers), as the plant is converted even if 90% or so of customers have no interest in them to date.
Still not a proper first look until you start making these posts from real world pictures. Come on GM Authority you can do better.
Perhaps a light sea-mist green.
some design erros like . 1. lacks windows front and rear chrome frame 2. white band on wheels 3. orange lamps must be white 4. A pollar cut must have been lower … but it is ok
The colors tend to be darker on the car than they are on paper or the screen. So we’ll see when it get’s to the Dealer .
“Enterprise” rental car green….
