The 2025 Cadillac XT4 continues to draw standard motivation from the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine developing 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Cog swaps are handled by the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive available.
The 2025 model year of the crossover continues to ride on the GM E2 platform. Production start date was revised to July 26th, 2024 and takes place at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City. Retooling the facility to produce the next-generation Chevy Bolt EV will result in a Cadillac XT4 production pause in 2025.
The online configurator for the XT4 is also currently live for buyers’ convenience in trying out various builds.

Lane keep assist works only with speed above 37 miles per hour. Compared to other makes it makes this vehicle a dog!
Just because 1 minor feature is not to YOUR liking does not make it a dog. I lease a 2021 XT 4 premium luxury and it’s a GREAT vehicle with absolutely NO issues.
I liked the design of my XT4, but there were numerous quality lapses… and it drove more like an economy car than a Cadillac.

I drive a 2021 XT4 and have had NO quality issues. LOF and tire rotation is all I’ve ever needed. GREAT driving vehicle.
It rides great if you think a Chevy Malibu rides great.
I’m just surprised that it still doesn’t have Super Cruise. That was promised to be coming since the 2024 model. Not having SuperCruise eliminated the XT4 from my consideration, and I bought a Lincoln Corsair GT with BlueCruise instead late last year.
I hear its due to management issues. It will likely be on the 2026 model year. If someone wanted a selection of all available options for the XT4 they’re essentially being forced to wait or buy another brand, and with declining sales, that will be another nail in the coffin for discontinuing it.
They could offer dealers retrofitting kits to try to retain some brand loyalty, but that would require valuing customers who’ve already purchased (big ask for GM).
So no blind side warning included which I think prevents the most accidents or did I miss that. $hit should all be included , hell the trax’s has it standard!
