General Motors will now be offering a three-year SiriusXM Extended Service Subscription as an option on all of its 2025 model-year vehicles.
The subscription plan costs $299 and can be added to the price of the vehicle, for those who pay cash, lease or finance. Additionally, it’s non-transferrable and non-refundable, while buyers who don’t choose the extended service subscription will still get a three-month trial of SiriusXM satellite radio, or SiriusXM with 360L, depending on the specific model.
It’s worth noting that there are two exceptions, the 2025 Chevy Express and 2025 GMC Savana, as neither van offers SiriusXM capability with the deletion of its audio system upgrade.
Extended Service Subscriptions that are included with the purchase or lease of a 2025 model-year GM vehicle do not automatically renew. Service under an Extended Service Subscription will stop at the end of the stated subscription term or the sale and / or transfer of the vehicle, whichever occurs first. Extended Service Subscriptions are not transferable to another radio / vehicle, are not redeemable for cash or credit and are not eligible for any refund.
Of course, SiriusXM offers hundreds of channels and exclusive, must-hear programming across music, talk and sports, making for a unique audio experience for fans across the United States – on the road, on the go and at home.
Boasting more than 20 years of in-vehicle expertise, SiriusXM offers a premium listening experience optimized for each infotainment system. With the three-year Extended Service Subscription, new GM car buyers will get access to SiriusXM directly through their vehicle as well as the SiriusXM app, providing access to even more content. Subscribers can also enjoy new programming launches year-round, along with new features and updates both in the SiriusXM app and over-the-air in select newer vehicles, continually improving and optimizing the experience for listeners over time.
GM 2025 model-year vehicles also benefit from a selection of popular OnStar features as standard over an eight-year period, such as Automatic Crash Response, remote vehicle commands as well as navigation and voice assistance. These features are included in the new OnStar One Essentials package available for retail customers.

3 year subscription for $299? That's a crappy deal! I'm inundated with $3-5/month renewal offers from Sirius. In fact, I just received a $2/month renewal offer this week!
If you really want to extend your Sirius subscription, I would suggest letting your 3 month free trial expire, and then wait for less expensive offers to begin flooding in from Sirius... because the $299 offer is a rip-off!
That's what happens when you have a monopoly over satellite radio services. I ditched my satellite radio account back in 2008 after Sirius and XM merged and had zero interest in ever using them again. Their service went to complete s*** after the merger. You now had to pay extra for online listening and many stations I loved were gone. And of course, with the monopoly they jacked up the price. Pandora and iHeart through my Android Auto and if I am looking for specific album I can listen on YouTube via Bluetooth. These three are free to use so I now have zero interest in Sirius XMs monopoly. I had it for the first three months in my XT5 and never listened to it. Plus I have decent local FM stations that play Metal, Classic Rock, and some old school 90s hiphop. Sirius XM can go out of business for all I care.
$8.30 per month ain't that bad - - and if it keeps the almost unethical hounding from Sirrus/XM at bay.. well worth it for that alone... - Plus that's MSRP, so the price will be less once negotiations are done...
I'd rather be hounded by them(Sirius) for a little bit. for a better deal on price.
I pay around $90 a quarter on my old 2017, but have the top-of-the-line package. So the new deals aren't that bad, relatively speaking, BUT I'm not sure I'd want to pay 3 years in advance. What if the vehicle is stolen or totalled? Getting a refund is probably a bear. I'll consider it when the time comes.
I pay about $ 105 year for everything
I just got a 3 year extension of mine for 150.00. If my math is correct, that is only 50.00 a year or 4.20 a month. Not too bad!!
Article doesn't say. Is that the music only subscription or the one with traffic? Music only is less.
Mine is the Platinum Music and Entertainment
I just took advantage for 6 months @ $36.00 ON MY 2024 GMC ACADIA DENALI. I dread calling them...I get a headache listening to the sale pitch!!..I jut tell them give me your best deal & dont waste my time!
We're paying $4/month for 12 months, having access to all channels.
That's great but I hope you do not have a credit card number on file. I tell them to send me a paper bill instead.
Paper bill for me too! No CC for me either!
Great
SAME with ONSTAR NO CC!
Yes, I heard it's darn near impossible to cancel your Sirius subscription! The renewal offers I get state CC required. So, I didn't think I could request paper billing. Good to know.
Yes,you can cancel but they will also entice you with a great better deal. I always dicker for a better one,in the end I get what I want. I never give them a CC #, I always request a bill sent by mail. No problem they sent it.
CC # is fine if you are set up with "virtual numbers" for your credit card when buying stuff on line. It's a 1 time use kind of number that defaults back to your main CC. They can't charge you a 2nd time .. hahaaa
Their app is a far better deal and not vehicle specific, so if you have more than 1 car ( I have a Camaro and a Malibu), it's one price (I pay $8/month), and no hardware to buy. And unlike the built-in version, you don't need line of sight with the satellite for reception. I typically use 8-10 gigs a month listening.
I paid for a lifetime subscription years ago when Howard Stern moved over.
Free app, can move my subscription over to new radios any time if I wish to.
Best 599.00 ever spent
