For many C7 Corvette owners, the sleek, uninterrupted lines of the front end are a major part of the car’s appeal. Unfortunately, 29 U.S. states require a front license plate as of 2024, which can disrupt that clean look and even lead to unwanted tickets if you’re caught without one. But fear not – there’s a clever solution on the market for those folks looking to keep their C7 Corvette’s front end looking sharp, all while staying on the right side of the law.
Designed specifically for the 2014 through 2019 C7 Corvette lineup, including Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1 variants, the Sto N Sho front plate holder offers a practical and stylish way to comply with front plate laws without permanently altering your vehicle’s appearance. This custom plate holder allows Corvette owners to quickly and easily attach or remove a front license plate, making it a perfect option for those who want to keep their front end clean when showing off their car.
Installation of the Sto N Sho is a breeze and can be completed in just a few minutes using basic hand tools. A video demonstration reveals the process involves removing two small bumper bolts from the front lip and attaching a bracket holder. The plate holder then slides securely into place. Best of all, there’s no need for drilling with this particular model, meaning the integrity of your Corvette’s front bumper remains intact. However, it’s also worth noting that some applications may require minor drilling. Additionally, Sto N Sho strongly recommends removing the plate holder before heading into an automatic car wash to prevent any potential damage.

Priced at just under $100, the Sto N Sho front plate holder is a cost-effective solution for C7 Corvette owners who want the best of both worlds – compliance with the law, plus a sharp, unblemished front end. In addition to U.S. plates, the product also supports European and Australian license plates, and even offers a GoPro mount for those looking to capture their track day adventures.

Looks a lot easier / quicker to steal the plate than removing screws…
lol,
Why so negative !
Great product, I’ve had this on4 Corvettes now and a 1 le SS. ,ZL1. Camaro ,Works great . If you’re worried then pull it off when you park it. It is quick and easy. Besides most won’t know how it releases.
It does reduce your ground clearance about .75”
…or you can move to Michigan.
I used to have an electric plate that slid out and flipped up. A much nicer deal.
I also made my own on my other car operated by a choke cable.
Now Ohio is plate free so I am released!
