Check Out These 2025 GMC Yukon Design Sketches

GM unveiled the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon in August, showing off a long list of updates and changes. Among them are major styling revisions, with the exterior and interior both showing off a new look. Now, GM is serving up a set of early design sketches, providing a little insight into the refreshed GMC Yukon design process.

Starting outside, we see a bold new fascia highlighted by large C-shaped lighting signatures in the flanks. The grille incorporates a series of horizontal slats, while the GMC logo is placed top and center in the primary air intakes. Small fog lights are incorporated lower in the bumper. The wheels present the usual plus-sized sizing expected of a concept, while the roofline is a bit lower than your typical production vehicle.

Moving around to the rear, we see similar C-shaped lighting implemented for the taillights, drawing down vertically in the sides of the rear fascia before extending horizontally across the hatch. Down in the lower bumper, we see a quad set of squared exhaust pipes, just like the standard production model.

Further upgrades were applied to the cabin, as depicted in the GM Design sketches. The first thing to catch your eye is likely the massive tablet-style screen mounted centrally in the dash. The refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon is one of the latest models from Big Red to adopt a vertical screen layout, a move that GM Authority readers think should not be mirrored in the GMC Sierra pickup, per a recent GM Authority poll. The interior images showing the refreshed GMC Yukon also depict wood trim on the dash, silver trim surrounds, and a large central console and tunnel with loads of storage opportunities.

As for the mechanical pieces, the 2025 GMC Yukon offers three engine options, including the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax. The full-size SUV rides on the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

  1. If GM would make production vehicles more like the Concept version their popularity would increase. The more muscular appearance would be a big advantage for styling. Tucks and SUVs already look too much alike, it would differentiate GM from competitors.

  2. Hi, I have been told that the GMC for the new 2025 models are going to have reduce prices so to spure buyers to purchase new. Is this true and when will it happen. I am on the market for a 2024 but would consider buying a Yukon Daniele if it was a good deal. Please advise.
