Nissan has unveiled the all-new 2025 Nissan Armada, debuting the SUV’s latest third generation. Highlights include a new turbocharged V6 power plant, replacing the outgoing V8, as well as the addition of the new PRO-4X model. When it goes on sale later this year, the 2025 Armada will rival the Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon, with the new PRO-4X variant set to go toe-to-toe with the Tahoe Z71 and Yukon AT4.
Let’s start under the hood, where the 2025 Nissan Armada cradles a new twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine with direct injection, replacing the outgoing 5.6L V8. Output is rated at 425 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, all of which is routed through a standard nine-speed automatic transmission. Towing capacity is set at 8,500 pounds. Notably, the departure of the Armada’s V8 coincides with the departure of the V8 option from the Jeep Wagoneer lineup last year, thus leaving GM as the only automaker still selling V8-powered full-size SUVs in the U.S. market.
With regard to styling, the 2025 Nissan Armada features an all-new look with big, bold features and C-shaped LED lighting signatures, as well as a big front air intake and grille. Full-width LED taillights are available, as are 22-inch wheels and a two-tone roof treatment.
Inside the cabin, the new Armada features available dual 14.3-inch screens, as well as a wealth of safety items via the Nissan Safety Shield 360 tech suite, while ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is offered for hands-off highway driving assistance. A 12-speaker Klipsch stereo is offered as well. First- and third-row legroom has been expanded, while cargo room behind the third row has been increased by 24 percent.
Finally, for those looking to for some extra off-road capability, the PRO-4X trim includes goodies like Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension all-terrain tires, a higher approach angle, underbody skid plate, and a locking differential.
The 2025 Nissan Armada is slated to go on sale be the end of the 2024 calendar year, with official pricing information expected closer to the on-sale date.

A massive improvement over the outgoing model, but that is an instantly dated front-end.
I don’t really think it’s been much of a competitor in the past, and doubt it will be in the future.
Nice , still a dumb name it Nissan patrol in other markets, needs to be more utilitarian for us off roaders, car campers /overlanders we or most have no need for a 3rd row as most off road packages =3 row luxury school bus
This one doesn’t look like it will have any improvements over the old one in MPG’s. And that’s not saying anything as the old (current) one has terrible fuel economy. The race to who can design the boxiest and most upright huge front end continues.
Glad, really glad that I’m not the one paying for gas in this pig.
please GM AUTHORITY , change your system of cloudflare of veryfing if human cause this goes in a loop very difficult to match to the right box…. thanks
Should be about as successful as the Titan was. Interior is horrible.
This will be in EVERY way better than the Seqouia though…even if it cannot tow as much.
losing the 5.6 to a twin turbo v/6 , not for me , should have 495hp 5,6 , i own a 2013 , 420hp ,love it , it has torque.
And the TT V6 has more torque than your 5.6 V8, a ton more, a whopping 100ftlbs more. So you don’t like more power? This should get better mpg too, probably 1-2mpg better. The dated ways of thinking bigger = lasts longer doesn’t apply, it is all how an engine is built. Can easily build a smaller turbo power plant to last hundreds of thousands of miles reliably just like a poorly designed larger NA engine can die a much sooner death. With these smaller turbo motors the driving is much improved with better power and broader torque ranges which is exactly what you want in bigger heavier vehicles.
They are supposedly offering a standard V6 with no turbo in this vehicle as well. Unless that doesn’t make it to the US.
Only for the Middle East. Just like the Trail Boss or Regular cab AT4 is…
being a mechanic for many years , ive seen the turbo engines beat themselfs to death , people want to feel the power , too much boost to get it , maybe some bad gas , they cant take it ,everthing is throw away now, nothing lasts very long , give me a v/8 . my 5.6 still gets good mileage if you dont push it.
Love the new pro 4x that is my next truck.
In 2011 I bought a new infiniti qx56, that v8 is the best I will definitely miss that. I now drive a 2018 ford f150 limited with a 3.5 tt very nice engine especially in sport mode but not as nice as that 5.6 I will definitely miss that but everyone is and will goo to smaller turbo charged engines not for there fuel economy but for emissions. Nobody buys these big suvs or trucks for there fuel economy, if you want fuel economy buy yourself a prius and be happy.
