Audi has unveiled the all-new 2025 Audi Q5, marking the nameplate’s third generation. Highlights include new styling, an array of digital screens in the cabin, and the sporty, V6-powered SQ5 model. When it goes on sale next year, the 2025 Audi Q5 will rival the Cadillac XT5.
Outside, we find a heavily revised front end dominated by the brand’s new Singleframe grille design. The sporty SQ5 also incorporates its own unique styling touches, such as matte silver chrome trim and four round exhaust pipes. In the corners, the Q5 offers 18-inch to 20-inch wheels, while the SQ5 is equipped with 20-inch wheels as standard, with the option of 21-inch wheels. There are eight customizable light signatures as well.
The cabin space incorporates several Audi MMI displays with OLED technology, including an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and 14.5-inch touch display, as well as optional 10.9-inch passenger display. There’s also a fully adjustable rear seat, while 1,473 liters (52 cubic feet) of cargo room is available with the rear seats folded down. A multitude of small storage compartments provide space for various odds and ends, while an inductive and cooled wireless phone charging tray and multiple USB ports front and rear round out the tech spec.
With regard to the mechanicals, estimated specs for the U.S. 2025 Audi Q5 include 268 horsepower from a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder, while the 2025 SQ5 is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder producing 362 horsepower. Both models incorporate quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. Overseas, customers will have access to a mild hybrid (MHEV) variant and a diesel engine option, neither of which will be sold in the States.
The U.S. launch for the all-new 2025 Audi Q5 and SQ5 are expected sometime in early 2025, although Audi has yet to provide an exact date. Production will once again take place in San Jose Chiapa, Mexico. U.S. pricing information is still forthcoming, but across the pond, the 2025 Audi Q5 starts at 52,300 ($57,897 at current exchange rates 9/2/2024), while the 2025 SQ5 starts at 82,900 euros ($91,773).

Wallace and Gromit’s new car…
That is one goofy looking car.
Styling is a matter preference. But I do not get the German grille fascination. The ‘brake vents’ remind me of the last two gens of the Regal GS, which is not necessarily a bad thing. This Audi has a much better chance of appealing to the under-60 crowd. The current XT5 says “I’m Medicare eligible and now rewarding myself”.
Looks like a fish faced Equinox
Hmmm…. midsized SUV with an available 6-cylinder engine? That’ll never sell.
