2025 GMC Yukon Won’t Offer These Three Paint Colors

Officially revealed in August 2024, the 2025 GMC Yukon checks in as the fifth model year of Big Red’s fifth generation full-size SUV, and is highlighted by a notable mid-cycle refresh that brings about updates to the exterior styling, interior appointments, and powertrain lineup. With that in mind, three paint colors offered on the 2024 GMC Yukon won’t be available on the 2025 Yukon.

The following three exterior paint colors will be dropped from the 2025 GMC Yukon following the 2024 model year (relevant color code in parenthesis):

In their place, the 2025 Yukon will add two new colors, including (relevant color code in parenthesis):

  • Midnight Pine (GBD)
  • Downpour Metallic (GXP)

As a reminder, the 2025 GMC Yukon is also underscored by the arrival of two new trim levels, the Elevation and AT4 Ultimate. Whereas the former is positioned as the entry-level variant and replaces both the SLE and SLT trim levels, the latter serves as a more premium variant of the Yukon’s off-road-oriented AT4 trim.

Another notable update for the 2025 Yukon is the tweaked powertrain lineup. While the two naturally aspirated V8 gasoline engines – the 5.3L V8 L84 and 6.2L V8 L87 – will continue to be offered for the fresh model year, the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine has been replaced by the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, which is rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

Under the skin, the 2025 Yukon continues to ride on the GM T1 platform – the same architecture that underpins the Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, and Cadillac Escalade. Meanwhile, production is currently scheduled to kick off on October 7th, 2024 at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas. Pricing figures start at $68,895.
