Following up on the model’s 2024 debut with several significant changes, the 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV officially drops the 2 trim level as well as the previously available Omega Edition package (RPO code WFP). In addition, four paint colors are being retired from the lineup, while two new exterior colors are introduced, Graphite Blue Metallic and Solar Orange. Here is a closer look at Solar Orange.
Solar orange for the 2025Â GMC Hummer EV SUV is tagged with dolor code GAG along with touch-up paint number WA-221K. Solar Orange is one of the seven SUV paints on offer for the 2025 model year, as the list includes the following (color codes in parenthesis):
- Deep Aurora Metallic (Dark Bronze) (GXN)
- Interstellar White (GAZ)
- Meteorite Metallic (Gray) (GNO)
- Tide Metallic (Ice Blue) (G7X)
- Void Black (GBA)
- Graphite Blue Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
- Solar Orange (GAG – new for 2025)
Solar Orange is available on both remaining trim levels of the GMC Hummer EV SUV, including the 2X and 3X trims. Furthermore, it can be selected in combination with either of the pair of interior colorways available for the battery-electric SUV.
As a reminder, those two interior colorways of the 2025 Hummer EV SUV include these choices:
- Lunar Horizon (Jet Black / Light Gray)
- Lunar Shadow (Jet Black / Taupe)
The 2025 Hummer EV SUV can be optioned with half a dozen styles of wheels, including a different standard wheel set for each trim level and four optional rollers. The new Dark Essentials Package (RPO code PDB) exclusively includes one of these sets of wheels, which cannot be ordered separately as a standalone option.
GM Authority previously highlighted MSRP and option cost details for the 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV, with starting prices ranging from a base of $98,845 for the 2X trim to $106,945 for the range-topping 3X trim. The listed starting MSRPs include a $2,295 destination freight charge. The official online configurator is live so potential buyers can try out various builds before purchasing.
For motivation, the Hummer EV SUV 2X trim equips a pair of GM Ultium Drive motors, while the 3X trim is powered by three motors. Despite this difference, both trims send power to their motors from the same 20-module battery pack utilizing GM Ultium battery technology.
The GMC Hummer EV continues to ride on the GM BT1 platform for the 2025 model year. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

That interior looks dated already.
As we all seen on the media channels: while the [test] EV Hummer was on a desert trail; the “[CV axle]” Left side broke! The [original] Hummer could literally go & conquor “anything” without BREAKING any chassis components! So… engineer’s of the EV hummer: step-up your game OR BE retired!
