Eliminating the 2 trim level and dropping the Omega Edition package (RPO code WFP) from availability, the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup ushers in several significant changes from the outgoing 2024 model year. Among these, four exterior paint colors have been retired, while two others, Graphite Blue Metallic and Solar Orange, joined the palette. Here, we’re zooming in on the eye-catching Solar Orange color.
Color code GAG is used to identify the Solar Orange exterior paint, while the touch-up paint number for the hue is WA-221K. Solar Orange is one of seven paint colors offered on the 2025Â GMC Hummer EVÂ Pickup, which are listed here (paint codes in parenthesis):
- Deep Aurora Metallic (Dark Bronze) (GXN)
- Interstellar White (GAZ)
- Meteorite Metallic (Gray) (GNO)
- Tide Metallic (Ice Blue) (G7X)
- Void Black (GBA)
- Graphite Blue Metallic (GAI – new for 2025)
- Solar Orange (GAG – new for 2025)
Notably, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup can be ordered with the Solar Orange exterior color for both remaining trim levels, the 2X and 3X, and in conjunction with both of the interior colorways currently offered on the all-electric truck.
For reference purposes, the two interior colorways offered on the 2025 Hummer EV Pickup consist of the following pair of colors:
- Lunar Horizon (Jet Black / Light Gray)
- Lunar Shadow (Jet Black / Taupe)
The 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup is available with six different wheels, including two standard wheel styles and four optional wheels, two of which are LPO or dealer-installed rollers. One of the optional wheel types is included and exclusively available as part of the new Dark Essentials Package (RPO code PDB).
Pricing for the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup starts at a base MSRP of $98,845 for the 2X and ranges up to $106,945 for the 3X equipped with a 20-module battery, or $116,940 for the 24-module battery 3X configuration. These prices, which include a destination freight charge of $2,295, are unchanged from 2024. The official online configurator can be used to try out various builds.
Under the sheet metal, the 2025 GMC Hummer EV pickup is underpinned by the GM BT1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant, previously the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant, in Michigan.

You can try to force a smile with this (very nice) color in the beginning, but ultiumly, you will be sad with your purchase. You might even leave it abandoned in the desert somewhere.
Nice color but why can’t GMC do a true red??
As though a Hummer isn’t noticeable enough.
The paint code is GAG. Spot on!
I love it! Americans really need cheerful right now with all the political nonsense…
