2025 GM SUVs: Which One Wears The Refresh Best? (Poll)

General Motors has unveiled a slew of updates for its full-size SUV lineup in conjunction with the 2025 model year, with every full-size GM SUV receiving updated styling as part of a comprehensive refresh. That includes the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Suburban, the 2025 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and the 2025 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV. The question is – which one wears the refresh best?

While styling updates can be found all around each of the full-size GM SUV models, the biggest changes are seen up front with a new fascia design.

Let’s start with the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. While the pre-refresh and refreshed models both include C-shaped lighting signatures, the signatures on the refreshed model are larger, stretching down lower in the fascia. Both models also include thin upper lighting elements, although these serve as the primary forward lighting on the pre-refresh, and lighting signatures on the refreshed model, with the latter using lower lighting elements as the primary forward lighting elements. The grille is also more square with the refresh.

As for the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, both models present a bold fascia design, however, the refreshed model once again incorporates more prominent C-shaped lighting signatures around the corners. The inner lighting elements adjacent to the lighting signatures are also lower with the refresh, and the fog lights have been revised as well.

Finally, we have the Cadillac Escalade, which adopts Caddy’s all-electric design cues for the 2025 model year. That means thin upper lighting signatures paired with broad, vertically oriented lighting elements in the corner of the fascia, with the latter lighting elements providing the primary forward illumination, similar to setup see with the battery-powered Cadillac Escalade IQ. The grille design is also flatter and more square with the refresh.

As a reminder, each of these GM SUVs ride on the GM T1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

So, with all that covered, we want to know – which 2025 GM SUV wears the refresh best? Let us know by voting in the poll below, and sound off in the comments!

  1. The Escalade for sure. Though tbh, I wish they’d start making an effort to future distinguish the full-size SUVs, as in full-on unique styling (like how the 2nd generation Lexus LM has unique styling that further distinguishes it from the Alphard).

  6. Yukon for sure. My likes about it.
    – Dark chrome front grill and surround.
    – Sporty looking front and rear.
    – Lots of attention to detail.
    – Prefer the new center stack for functionality.
    – Pushbuttons on center stack.
Liked it so much that I ordered a 2025 Yukon Denali Ultimate 3 weeks ago. Original build date was end of September. Was pushed out a month till the end of October now. Probably not the last push. Currently at status code 3000.

  8. I like them all… oddly enough, I liked the pre refresh Yukon design more than the refreshed design. I’m fine with the Cadillac an Chevy refresh

  9. I’m getting to the point I don’t care about this refresh. They’re not giving us info on ordering, detailed pricing, or when they’ll truly be available. Tahoe/Suburban have been public for months. Shouldn’t these be in production by this point and not “coming soon”? GM has a lot of 2025s already in production and on dealer lots. With these they won’t even share updates!

    1. I agree. Not sure what the big secrets about. GM is a year late releasing the refresh. Would think they would be better prepared. I hope they are not attempting to build suspense with the auto industry and customers. Let’s get it out there and get down to business!

  10. I liked the last generation best. Square lines and a lower overall height. I just can’t bring myself to part with my 2019 RST for one of these tall soft looking SUVs
