The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 drops in as the seventh model year for the fourth-generation pickup, debuting only a few relatively small updates compared to the preceding 2024 model year. Among these are new exterior colors, a few equipment availability changes, and some package changes. Now, interested customers can spec the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 using the official configurator tool at Chevrolet’s website.

Further turning the screws to budget truck buyers, the WT now comes in four colors: black, white, gray and red. They took away the Slate Gray and even blue. Does not make sense unless the motive is to try to force ppl to either move up the trim ladder, or care less about their purchase.
They did the same thing to the High Country. It literally comes in the same 4 colors as the cheap WT version with no blue no green or any other hues. Spend more and have less choices. Makes perfect sense at gM
The configurator shows the beautiful new Riptide Blue is not available on either the LTZ or the High Country. Who makes these insane decisions? Are the GM designers suffering from severe depression and think everyone only wants depressing colors?
Go look at the GMC site. While the Sierra Denali is available in more colors (six), 3 are some variation of gray (Titanium Rush, Thunderstorm Gray & Sterling), plus Onyx Black, Downpour (dark blue) and White Frost. And unlike the High Country where black and Sterling are available no cost colors, on the 2025 Denali ALL 6 colors are optional, running from $495 to $1095!
My 21 Denali just hit 67,000 miles and I was planning on ordering a new one in December, but since I like red trucks I guess I’ll be replacing my Cayenne Red 21 Denali with a Radiant Red 25 High Country instead. Actually it’s probably a good thing since the High Country is about $3000 cheaper!
Testing out the 2025 configuration tool, it’s garbage compared to 2024. Also, less color choices and more attempting to charge people extra for paint colors. No f-way. $60K for a truck, no f-way the color I want is not going to be included in the price.
Do we have any news on the 2025 Colorado/Canyon?
yea, don’t buy one. There is your “news”
Seems totally out of whack to drop 60 large on a pickup and have to pay extra for a decent color.
Check the GMC site, the “Professional Grade” charges for ANY color other than basic white.
I’m waiting for the redesigned 2026 Silverado 1500 Ltz Z71.
It should be 90 large for a 2026 LTZ at the rate things are going.
i thought it was 2027 models that are going to be redesigned.
Makes no sense to me, a company that literary quit making cars and only concentrating on trucks and SUVs should be able to make a truck with any option and trim level you want!!!
I don’t what make my next truck will be but it will not be a GM product. Currently own a ’18 1500 Sierra.
You need spend 63k to get blue for 1500 GMC . Hilarious.
GM needs new leadership, now!
The only good thing is that these high new truck prices drive up the value of my existing Silverado.
Glad i got the GLACIER BLUE METALLIC color before they axed it on my 2024 1500 Silverado. That was one of the best looking blues they came out with. GM knew it to, as they used trucks in this color in all their ads. Than what do they do? They dump it around February 2024. The GM fat cats have more money than brains.
