Officially announced for the Canadian market this spring, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq slots in below the Cadillac Lyriq as the luxury marque’s smallest and most affordable all-electric offering. With production of the Optiq set to get under way later this year, here’s what Caddy’s entry-level EV will cost in Canada.
Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Optiq’s entry-level Luxury 1 and Sport 1 trims starts at $63,298, while the well-equipped Luxury 2 and Sport 2 start at $67,298.
Trim Level | 2025 MSRP + DFC |
---|---|
Luxury 1 | $63,298 |
Sport 1 | $63,298 |
Luxury 2 | $67,298 |
Sport 2 | $67,298 |
It’s worth noting that the above prices are in CAD and include a $2,500 destination freight charge, a $100 A/C tax, and a $699 dealer fee.
As of this writing, the Cadillac Optiq qualifies for rebates toward the purchase or lease of a new EV in Canada. In addition to the federal government rebate of up to $5,000, some provinces offer their own stackable rebates, driving the price down further.
Although the trim structure and basic architecture of the U.S.-market Optiq and the Canada-market Optiq are the same, there are a couple of notable differences. In Canada, the 19.2 kW AC charging module (RPO K2O) is optional on the Luxury 1 and Sport 1 trims and standard on the Luxury 2 and Sport 2 models. In the U.S., the 11.5 kW AC charging module (RPO K28) is standard on all trims, and the 19.2 kW module is optional on all trims.
The Optiq’s exterior design follows Cadillac’s corporate design language. The cabin is highlighted by a 33-inch LED display with 9K resolution and fully recycled upholstery. Available technology features include GM Super Cruise, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Enhanced Automatic Parking, and Forward Collision Alert.
Under the body panels, the GM BEV3 platform provides the underpinnings, while GM Ultium batteries and dual GM Ultium Drive motors deliver propulsion. The range is estimated at 482 km on a full charge, while output ratings sit at 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Production for the North American market will take place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

What the hell is an A/C tax?
A/C tax is air conditioning tax.
Air Conditioner Excise Tax, is a $100 fee that the government of Canada applies to all vehicles with onboard air conditioning.
Base price: $63,298 😱
Pretty cheap. Nice deal.
