Making its big debut in August of 2023, the Cadillac Escalade IQ is an important model for the iconic luxury nameplate, swapping the traditional internal combustion engine in favor of GM’s latest all-electric propulsion technology. Now, GM will auction the very first retail production 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ ever produced at an upcoming auction, offering collectors a chance at owning a genuine piece of GM history. Proceeds from the auction will go to benefit charity.
The first retail production 2025 Escalade IQ, VIN 001, will be hit the auction block at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction event, set to take place between October 10th and 13th at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
“We’re honored that Cadillac is bringing the sale of their first retail production Escalade IQ to Barrett-Jackson,” said chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, Craig Jackson. “This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to own an incredible piece of automotive history.”
One-hundred percent of the hammer price will go to benefit the Detroit Children’s Fund, a non-profit organization with a mission to provide Detroit children with a quality education.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is a watershed moment for the luxury marque, reinventing the Escalade nameplate with a suite of GM Ultium technology under the skin, including a 24-module, 200 kWh GM Ultium battery pack and two GM Ultium Drive motors. One motor is mounted in front and the other is in the rear, the combination of which yields 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque, propelling the SUV from 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds. Range-per-charge is estimated at 460 miles.
As one might expect, the Escalade IQ is also replete with the latest infotainment and comfort technology, including a massive 55-inch, pillar-to-pillar infotainment screen, available 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system, and available executive second-row seating package with 14-way adjustable, heated, ventilated, and massaging second-row seats, plus 12.6-inch personal screens and rear command center.
Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ starts at $129,990 and ranges up to $150,490. Looking ahead, it’ll be interesting to see how collectors value this first-ever all-electric Escalade and what the final hammer price will be.
