The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ made its official introduction in August of last year, dropping in as the very first all-electric production model to ever wear the world-renowned Escalade nameplate. Naturally, the new Escalade IQ doesn’t skimp on the tech or comfort items. In fact, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is even equipped with five-zone automatic climate control.
Dubbed the ClimateSense system, the Escalade IQ’s five-zone automatic climate control is tagged with RPO code C24 and features individual climate control settings for each occupant in the first two rows of seating, as well as separate settings for the third-row seats.
To our knowledge, the Escalade IQ holds the honor as the first application of five-zone automatic climate control in a GM vehicle. That said, some of the Escalade’s rivals already offer five-zone climate control, including the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQS, as well as the BMW X7.
Of course, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is well-equipped in other areas, as well. Among the cabin highlights is a massive pillar-to-pillar 55-inch LED display mounted on the dash, which covers infotainment duties and provides a digital gauge readout for the driver, as well as an entertainment screen for the front-seated passenger. Below the large 55-inch screen is a secondary readout for the various HVAC settings. There’s also the GM Super Cruise driver assist system, which allows the driver to remove their hands from the steering wheel during extended periods of driving, and includes features like Automatic Lane Change.
For those customers looking to maximize rear-seat comfort, the Executive Seating Package is one obvious upgrade. Opt for this package, and second-row passengers will enjoy second-row captain’s chairs with ventilation and heating, six-way power adjustment, four-way lumbar support, four-way power bolster support, 10-point power massage, a Rear Command Center, dual wireless charging, and stowable tray tables.
All Escalade IQ models are equipped with GM Ultium Drive motors and GM Ultium batteries, with the GM BT1 platform providing the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero facility in Michigan.

What does the IQ mean in the name? Wrong answers only.
Interesting Question.
Ridiculous coddling.
For the price of admission, every seat should have it own climate setting. Also, I hope heating and cooling in the second row isn’t just available in the executive version. My Dad’s Telluride has heated and cooled second row seats. Unacceptable.
Investment Questionable
Whole thing looks overly complicated to me.
About the article and 5 zone climate control, my Lyriq’s dual zone is Essentially single zone since the only thing dual about it is the front passenger control.
The rear passengers get what come out of the driver’s dashboard vents and have Nothing if it isn’t selected.
Everyone has plenty of individual passenger vent controls, and this is plenty differentiated enough even if the Lyriq only had a single zone since defacto that’s what it is anyway.
I rather like the lower tail lights on the IQ, and they can drop the vestigial top ones.
That’s one thing about the gas Escalade… The huge tail lights make it look old fashioned (from the fifties), due to reacting tail fins. The stark on/off ness of the LEDS increase the ugliness factor when driving behind one.
I’m disinterested in this vehicle unless they come out with a much simplified trim, as you can still get with regular and elongated ice trims. And a small power train and 2wd, like the gas and/or diesel miniscule engine recently offered.
Since Hertz EV Silverados are going for $35,000 off MSRP, there is a big market for this kind of thing economically priced.
GM will do the above if the All Bells vehicle doesn’t sell
I find it interesting how the EV’s have more feature and color options vs ICE vehicles.
