The 2025 Buick Enclave introduces the third generation of the Tri-Shield brand crossover with a wide range of changes and updates, including a cockpit centered on a 30-inch infotainment screen, larger exterior dimensions compared to the outgoing second-gen model, and more.
The available exterior colors for the 2025 Buick Enclave also include revisions. Three paints have been dropped from the available lineup, while two others indirectly replace them, including Ocean Blue Metallic (color code GXP) and Smokey Amethyst Metallic (color code GXK). This is our detailed look at the Smokey Amethyst color choice.
Designated by color code GXK, Smokey Amethyst Metallic uses the touch-up paint number WA-133H as well. It counts among the seven available 2025 Buick Enclave paint colors, five of which are carried over from the 2024 model. You can see the exterior colors available for the crossover listed below (color codes in parenthesis):
- Cherry Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Ebony Twilight Metallic (GB8)
- Moonstone Gray Metallic (GXD)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- White Frost Tricoat (G1W)
- Ocean Blue Metallic (GXP – new for 2025)
- Smokey Amethyst Metallic (GXK – new for 2025)
The Smokey Amethyst Metallic paint color is available exclusively on the range-topping Avenir trim of the 2025 Buick Enclave, where it is offered as a no-charge option. The color cannot be ordered on the Preferred or Sport Touring trims.
Smokey Amethyst can be ordered in conjunction with two of the three interior colorways for the Preferred and Avenir trims, specifically Ebony seats with Sky Cool Gray and Ebony interior accents and Cool Gray seats with Mocha interior accents. It cannot be ordered along with the Cool Gray seats with Slate Blue interior accents colorway.
The 2025 Buick Enclave is available with one of four different colorways in total, increased to seven options by use of several seat upholstery materials, including leatherette, perforated leatherette, and perforated leather:
- Ebony with Sky Cool Gray accents
- Sandstone with Ebony accents
- Cool Gray with Ebony accents
- Cool Gray with Slate Blue accents
The 2025 Enclave gets an overhaul to both its exterior and interior as part of the third-generation rollout. On the outside, styling changes include new designs for the grille, front fascia, and rear fascia. The aforementioned 30-inch display occupies a central place in the cockpit, while safety and convenience technology includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Departure Warning.
Dealers started receiving 2025 Buick Enclave units in July 2024. Pricing for the crossover starts at $46,395 for the Preferred trim with front-wheel drive, while at the opposite end of the spectrum, the AWD Avenir carries a starting MSRP of $61,395.
The turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine developing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque provides standard motivation to all three trim levels. Both FWD and AWD configurations are available, while cog swaps are handled in all cases by the GM eight-speed automatic transmission.
The GM C1 platform that was used for the second-generation Enclave continues to provide the bones for the third-gen crossover. The GM Lansing Township plant in Michigan is the site of production for the 2025 Enclave.

Awful, just a horrendous color. Purple….really?! Barney’s Buick. It didn’t sell well when last seen (unseen) on the late teens Envision, why did they think it would sell now? The other GM brothers have a beautiful green color, why not Buick? Have you seen the beautiful Cadillac or Alfa or BMW greens? I would never buy anything other than a Buick for sure, but, respectfully, a nice green across the spectrum of models……pleeeeeease.
LOL! April Fool, right?
I love that color.
That and Buick’s Copper Ice on the Envista.
Not impressed with this 2025 Enclave, going to be interesting how this pricey 3rd Gen 4cyl plays out compared to the roomy awesome 2nd Gen Enclave!
Sure hope Buick wakes up and puts a V6 in the 2026 Enclave. “V6 in 26!” Then I’ll buy one
which will be my fourth Enclave in 16 years.
To GM Authority: when you do these “first look”, perhaps it would be better to show a real life version of the vehicle in natural lighting vs CGI renders pulled from GM configurators.
For the readers here: If you see this color in person you’ll not only pick up the purplish hue in the shade, but under direct sunlight it actually has way more pink in it than it initially indicates.
GM, in an effort to reduce carbon/adhere to CAFE uses weak engines. Mazda has punchy yet efficient engines and spends little on R&D.
Barra has gambled that most people won’t catere/notice after seeing the crap offered by Hyandai or poor handling of Toyota. GM always had a feel to their vehicles that’s long gone. I realized this after comparing Malibu w/Chrysler 200 and realizing FCA felt more GM than Gm(both platforms originally based on Epsilon from that old Fiat partnership)
where are the port holes (chrome flares on fender/front door.
Also missing the side mirror being down on door… eliminating glass where you can see when turning
corners, chepening this model ,,,might as well leave gm!!!
Saw an Avenir in this color on Sunday. It’s beautiful but definitely might appeal to Buick’s female customers which might be the point. I was pleased with the overall look of the vehicle. A nice evolution but keeping the Enclave’s basic DNA.
