Watch This Thorough Review Of The 2024 Silverado EV RST: Video

If you haven’t already heard, GM Authority’s parent firm, Motrolix, recently launched a podcast focused solely on Chevrolet. Aptly named Chevy Society, the first episode of the new show just dropped. It stars none other than GM Authority Executive Editor, Alex Luft, who provides a very thorough review of the recently-launched Silverado EV RST First Edition.

During the show, Luft pores over (almost) every single detail of the Bow Tie brand’s $100,000 electric truck, including its exterior and interior, tech, driving impressions (both unladen and with a trailer in tow, plus towing with Super Cruise), the Multi-Flex mid-gate, and everything in between. Toward the end of the show, Luft answers the million dollar $100,000 question: is the Silverado EV RST worth it?

Hit the play button on the video below, then sit back and enjoy the show, and be sure to subscribe to the Motrolix channel on YouTube, where you can catch future episodes of this podcast (and also the Cadillac Society podcast).

Great review Alex, very thorough and entertaining.
Silverado EV RST seems like a good truck but at $100K I’m buying the Hummer, midgate or not.
Looking forward to the next podcast guys.

The Sierra EV Denali is the sweet spot as they are almost the same MSRP. It has the midgate, all the external power options (both house backup, tools, etc), and a much better interior with leather than the Silverado EV. I’d also bet it’ll hold its value better than the Silverado EV.

Yeah I think the Sierra is where it’s at for this one, until Chevy has a Silverado EV High Country or similar high end model with better materials.

Good review Alex. Glad to see more of your face on video.

I’ve been wondering about this electric one, this overview was very helpful.

Seems like a good truck, but they need to complete the launch first with more trims/models. I wouldn’t get the RST for this price but I could pay $80K for an LTZ or High Country.

The Sierra EV is vegan leather / vinyl as well.

And that overpriced junkmobile will lose half its value in a year.
Just ask Mercedes how much that hurts.

“Thorough Review Of The 2024 Silverado EV RST”

1 hour and 18-minute video of a middle-aged balding white dude in a dimly lit room talking into a microphone isn’t what I had in mind.

Weird comment. The review was indeed very thorough like advertised.

Seems that you stayed long enough to notice the details and to comment… are you jealous or did Alex not reply to your fan mail?

$100k??? Who in their right mind would buy this? Yes, I realize there are very wealthy people who can write a check for it, but MOST of the American public who finance a vehicle, why on EARTH would you want this for that price? The range is ok, (when not towing) but “surplus” on charging stations, and the time to charge is ridiculous!

What happens in about 3-5 years when the batteries “could” deplete/damage from too much charging, or just wearing out…..hence, like EVERY single CELL PHONE created today!! How much will it cost to replace these batteries??

Also, the fact it costs more than my first house I bought is ABSURD to me, because I got all my money back and more when I resold it!! Try that with this EV truck!!!!!
