Take An Exterior Tour Of The 2025 Chevy Equinox Activ: Video

The 2025 Chevy Equinox debuts an all-new fourth generation for the crossover, bringing with it a new design, an overhauled cabin, and new tech features. The 2025 model year also debuts the Equinox’s new Activ trim level, which offers a more outdoorsy setup that’s great for getting to the trailhead. Now, GM Authority is providing an exterior tour and walkaround of the 2025 Equinox Activ via the following video.

The front end of the 2025 Chevy Equinox Activ.

Clocking in at seven minutes and 41 seconds, the video is hosted by GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft, who provides a hands-on tour of all the exterior design features. The tour begins with the front fascia, which shows the unique Activ design, incorporating reflective trim material and an exclusive grille. The Equinox also features a “high-brow” dual-tier lighting system, with daytime running lamps at the top and the primary headlamps below, along with fog lights and Chevrolet script detailing inside the light housings.

The hood has a powerful, sculpted design, while the overall stance is more rugged and athletic than the previous generation, primarily the result of the wider overall width. The 2025 Chevy Equinox Activ trim in particular is quite rugged-looking thanks to 17-inch wheels wrapped in General Grabber AT tires. The side view shows off this model’s two-tone color scheme, which matches Cacti Green (paint code GVR) body panels with a white roof (paint code GAZ). Other notable side styling elements include a shark fin-style C-pillar treatment.

At the rear, the Equinox sports a new fascia with distinct lighting, including split tail lamp graphics and a black Chevy bow tie badge. There’s also a spoiler mounted on top of the hatch, while the exhaust is hidden beneath the vehicle, providing a cleaner design for the rear bumper.

As a reminder, the 2025 Chevy Equinox cradles the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine, while an updated version of the GM D2 platform provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico.

  1. No Thanks! Why on earth would you want tires like that on an Equinox!

  2. I love the new look, be interesting to see if the Activ can actually do some active things with the drive modes and the off-road tires.

  3. Leased a 2025 Equinox Activ and was surprised that there are no (none) USB ports (other than for use with CarPlay). There is a charging pad next to the driver and one cigarette lighter-type outlet in the very rear of the vehicle. The only way to get USB power to the passengers is via an extension cord from the cigarette lighter. Not very convenient. I had a 2022 Equinox with USB ports in multiple places, why were they removed?
