Immediately after the official debut of the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon in Detroit, General Motors confirmed GMC’s updated full-size SUV for Mexico.
GM’s Mexican subsidiary joined the international presentation of the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon and confirmed that the mid-cycle update of the fifth-generation Yukon will arrive later this year in the domestic market of the Latin country. As such, the company shared the important improvements of the 2025 Yukon with a bolder exterior design, a next-generation premium interior, and a new trim level that further elevates its refinement.
“Following the all-new GMC Acadia and next-gen GMC Terrain, the addition of the updated 2025 GMC Yukon completes GMC’s reimagined SUV lineup,” said Global Vice President at Buick and GMC, Duncan Aldred. “We’re raising the bar on what our customers expect from GMC’s flagship and the addition of the AT4 Ultimate trim fuses ruggedness and capability with craftsmanship and refinement,” he added.
As the largest and longest-running model in the brand’s recently updated utility lineup, the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon has been refreshed inside and out to set a new standard for GMC’s design language. In addition to the bold new front end and updated exterior lighting signatures, the 2025 Yukon adopts an all-new interior with its own distinctive styling and the GMC Premium 16.8-inch infotainment system touchscreen.
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of GMC’s AT4 sub-brand, the 2025 GMC Yukon introduces the new AT4 Ultimate trim as the ultimate expression of the model’s off-road refinement with a suite of exclusive features. Although GM Mexico did not announce the exact configuration of the SUV it will offer in that country, the 2025 Yukon also debuts the Elevation trim that will replace the SLE and SLT trims as the entry-level model in the United States and Canada.
The refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon will officially launch in Mexico during the last quarter of the year, a few weeks after its arrival in the U.S. market. Full details on trim levels, powertrain configuration, and availability will be announced closer to the launch date. The units will continue to be manufactured exclusively at the GM Arlington plant in Texas, which is responsible for supplying all markets where it is sold.
