A few changes and updates are introduced with the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD compared to the outgoing 2024 model year, including the debut of the Silverado HD Trail Boss. Now, GM Authority is looking at the Chevy Silverado HD colors available across the pickup’s numerous trims.
The 2025 Chevy Silverado HD colors have two exterior paints deleted from the available lineup, specifically Auburn Metallic (paint code G48) and Dark Ash Metallic (paint code G6M). Meanwhile, one new color was added for 2025, Cypress Gray (paint code GBD), with the available paints shown here:
In total, nine Chevy Silverado HD colors are available to order for the 2025 model, down by one option from the 2024 palette. Availability of these exterior paints varies across the six trim levels of the Silverado HD, which include WT, Custom, LT, LTZ, ZR2 and High Country.
Six of these 2025 Chevy Silverado HD colors are offered as no-charge options for the truck, while three cost extra, priced at $395, $495 and $995, depending on their tintcoat or tricoat finish, along with the new Cypress Gray. The table below shows all of the relevant details:

In addition to changes in the Chevy Silverado HD colors on offer, five wheel options are being discontinued for the 2025 model year. Other changes include reduced availability for the Midnight Edition (RPO code WJP) package, now offered only on the High Country trim, while the Custom trim will get the factory-installed Custom Blackout Package (RPO code CWK) as an available option.
Yet more changes to the pickup include addition of Adaptive Cruise Control as standard on the High Country. Optional is the Universal Vehicle Module (RPO code KGU) for all HD trims, adding customizable software for upfitters.
The aforementioned Trail Boss package (RPO code WPK) is available for the LT and LTZ trims of the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD, following its unveiling in January 2024. It includes styling upgrades and practical equipment such as red tow hooks (RPO code UGA), skid plates, L275/65R20 BFGoodrich off-road tires (RPO code QFG), trailer mirrors (RPO code DWI), among others. Pricing for the package is set at $4,005 on the LT trim level and $3,755 for the LTZ trim level.
Prices for the 2025 Silverado HD, as revealed by GM Authority earlier, start at $47,295 for the Regular Cab Long Bed rear-wheel drive configuration of the 2500 HD WT trim powered by the 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine. Starting MSRP ranges up to $91,720 for the 2500 HD ZR2 Bison with Crew Cab Standard Bed configuration, 4WD, and the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine. The official online configurator is now live, enabling customers to try out builds for the pickup before purchase.
As a reminder, two powerplants are available to provide motivation to the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD. These include the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine developing 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, and the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine rated at 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. The V8 gas engine is standard while the turbodiesel is optional.
The 2025 Silverado HD pickup rides on a more capable variant of the GM T1 platform. Production of the HD takes place at the GM Oshawa plant in Canada and the GM Flint plant in Michigan.

No Lake shore blue for the ZR2?
They’re taking the high demand colors away from the LTZ trim levels is ONE of the stupidest moves they’ve made over the last few years. Eroding our market share over color constraints. GM marketing needs to talk to the customer and dealers..
Constant irritation to customers and dealer body!!
So few colors, and two look almost identical. What’s the difference between Slate Gray and Sterling Gray?
