In addition to its E85-compatible engine, which makes it a flex-fuel vehicle, the 2025 Encore GX introduces some changes to paint color availability. New for 2025 is the Aquamarine Blue Metallic (color code GKN) paint, at this point offered exclusively on the Sport Touring trim for an additional cost of $495. The vehicle also has four interior colorways.

Pricing for the 2025 Encore GX, as uncovered by GM Authority, starts at $27,295 for the entry-level Preferred trim with front-wheel drive. Starting MSRP rises to $34,395 for the range-topping Avenir configured with all-wheel drive. These prices include a $1,295 destination freight charge. The model’s official online configurator is live to try out builds.

As a reminder, engine options include the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP engine developing 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. This is the same output as the outgoing turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, but with added E85 capability. This engine is offered exclusively on the Preferred trim level with its front-wheel drivetrain.

Meanwhile, other configurations and trims get the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine cranking out 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. This engine is not compatible with E85. FWD variants sport a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) while the GM nine-speed automatic transmission handles cog swaps with the all-wheel drivetrain.

Why bother with wheels when they all look like a box with wheels , or the old station wagons.
