In August 2024, low-interest financing and a national lease are available on the 2024 GMC Canyon. Shown here is the GMC Canyon Denali.

  • Elevation – $37,595

  • AT4X AEV Edition – $65,995
  • Denali – $52,595

About GMC Canyon

The 2024 GMC Canyon arrives with plenty of changes and updates, including the debut of the first-ever 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition, offering a next-level off-roader complete with tons of trail-ready upgrades over the standard 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X, framed as “the most advanced and capable Canyon ever.” Furthermore, the 2024 Canyon AT4X and AT4X AEV Edition will both get a new launch control feature as part of their Baja Mode, improving performance both on-road and off-road.

It’s worth noting that the 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition and 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison share the same suspension configuration, which enables both trucks to stand tall with an identical 12.2 inches of ground clearance. However, there is one small difference.

For 2024, four trim levels are offered: Elevation, AT4, Denali, and AT4X, along with the AT4X AEV Edition package.

Additionally, the 2024 Canyon gets GM’s TurboMax engine branding as the name, from now on, of the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine in the High-Output tune, the sole powertrain offered on across the board. On a related note, here are the towing capacities and payload capacities of the 2024 Canyon.

The 2024 Canyon offers a new Sports Bar Package, while the AT4 and AT4X trim levels get the option of a new off-road front bumper package for enhanced off-road capability.

GM also revealed that all trim levels of the 2024 Canyon will integrate Ultifi, the automaker’s new end-to-end vehicle software platform. Some potential uses of Ultifi include interfacing with the owner’s smart home, which could include functions such as switching on security systems when the owner leaves and turning them off when they return, changing the home temperature, and much more.

Pricing for the 2024 GMC Canyon shows that the starting prices of the Elevation and AT4 trims become $800 less expensive than the 2023 model year because the Three Years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan is no longer standard. It was replaced with the more affordable Three Years of OnStar Remote Access Plan – which only provides access via the myGMC app.

For the same reason as above, the AT4X trim level becomes $1,100 less expensive, while the AT4X AEV Edition is $1,150 costlier than last year’s AT4X Edition 1. Meanwhile, the Denali’s starting price is unchanged for the new model year, as the Three Years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan is standard on that trim.

However, the Denali does get a $100 bump in the destination freight charge, which applies across the board for the 2024 model year. Notably, all price changes listed above include the DFC increase.

The online configurator tool is live for the 2024 Canyon.

Production of the 2025 GMC Canyon has been pushed back by five weeks at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri to December 2nd.

739 a month? For a lease? That’s crazy. Now the 1.9% is a good deal. But the others are crazy.
