Following the introduction of the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq to the Australian market in April, General Motors continues to execute the luxury brand’s expansion plans in the country and has just announced the first-ever Cadillac Experience Center Sydney.
The automaker’s Oceania subsidiary has announced the location and construction start of the first-ever Cadillac Experience Center Sydney, confirming that it will open the first premium lifestyle facility for Cadillac customers in Australia’s most iconic and populous city. The Cadillac Experience Center Sydney will become the brand’s first retail outlet in the country, located in Sydney’s new, state-of-the-art Rosebery Engine Yards precinct.
“It feels natural to bring Australia’s first Cadillac Experience Center to such a contemporary, open, and authentic space. Rosebery Engine Yards has a rich heritage which arms it for the future,” said Managing Director of GM Australia and New Zealand, Jess Bala. “It’s a pleasure to be able to invite guests closer to one of the world’s great brands, where they can experience the luxury evolution of Cadillac firsthand,” she added.
As revealed in a report from late 2023, Cadillac plans to sell its vehicles in Australia through a network of owned boutiques located in state-of-the-art shopping centres and the first-ever Cadillac Experience Center Sydney is officially the first of these. In addition to announcing the start of construction and the imminent opening of the center in Sydney, Cadillac confirmed that it is working on upcoming locations in Melbourne and Auckland – the first city in New Zealand.
Specifically, the Cadillac Experience Center Sydney occupies an 841-square-metre open space in the Rosebery Engine Yards precinct, a modern premium lifestyle retail space developed on the site of a heritage-listed former industrial mill house in Sydney. The center will offer a dozen branded parking spaces, three covered service bays, multiple delivery bays and state-of-the-art service areas.
The first-ever Cadillac Experience Center Sydney is in full development and will open in the second half of the year to support the launch of the Cadillac Lyriq. The industrial-style facility was designed by local architecture firm Gensler, who were also responsible for the all-new Cadillac City Zurich in Switzerland. Surrounded by other luxury brands, Cadillac is the only car manufacturer in the Rosebery Engine Yards development.

Sydney ??? why not USA ? seems GM more and more back to north americans
Hello from Sydney. From my perspective as a Sydney resident, it’s an odd site for brand awareness. Locality is suitable, between CBD and international airport. Locality is full of similar centres for other automotive brands/dealers occupying prominent sites visible from the main road arteries. But Cadillac site is not prominent or a destination. Area is changing, but chosen site does not seem like the right place to start (or restart) Cadillac in Sydney Australia. For comparison, Tesla started in 2012 by displaying its new Model S at prime high traffic sites in the CBD and mega shopping centres.
