About Chevrolet Silverado HD
In the Fall of 2022, GM unveiled the refreshed 2024 Chevy Silverado HD with new exterior styling, an overhauled interior space, new tech like standard wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control, and upgrades to the powertrain lineup. It offers a new High Country Premium package that replaces the previous High Country Deluxe package. Also, the 2024 Silverado HD offers two new 22-inch wheel options, with some now available on more trim levels. The 2024 Silverado HD gets a new Midnight Edition package as well.
Not surprisingly, pricing for the 2024 Silverado HD increases compared to the preceding 2023 model year. Refreshed 2500 HD models are $1,100 to $1,900 more expensive, while 3500 HD models are $1,200 to $2,000 costlier.
In April 2023, GM officially debuted the first-ever 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 and the new 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Bison as the Bow Tie brand’s most capable heavy-duty off-roaders.
The 2025 Chevy Silverado HD arrives with several important updates and changes, most notably the new 2025 Chevy Silverado HD Trail Boss, a package available on LT and LTZ trims. Additionally, the 2025 Silverado HD Custom trim level will offer a new Blackout Package.
Other changes for 2025 include reduced Midnight Edition availability, expanded park assist availability, standard adaptive cruise control on High Country trim levels, and a reshuffling of wheel options and paint colors.
Pricing for the 2025 Silverado HD, specifically 2500 HD variants, starts at $47,295 for the base model Work Truck and $84,585 for the range-topping High Country trim. For 3500 HD variants, pricing begins at $48,495 for WT and $87,585 for High Country. Price increases range from $400 to $1,000, depending on trim level, while the $1,995 destination freight charge (DFC) remains the same. Adding the new Trail Boss package costs around $4K.
The online configurator tool is now live for the 2025 Silverado HD.

GM Truck Sales Up 10 Percent For 267K Deliveries During Q2 2024
Like last time, Chevy sold about twice as many pickup trucks as GMC.
RHD Chevy Silverado HD Was Intensively Tested In Australia
Making sure the heavy-duty pickup is up the task.
Once more people find out about the inability to tow because the 2024’s disconnect the trailer brakes, they won’t be able to give them away. I have a new $90K Denali that I can’t use as a tow vehicle because of that reason. GMC is blaming the company that makes the trailer brakes.

There’s a recall. Just get it fixed. I had my dealer order the part and install it a week after the recall was announced.
No issues since. Very happy they solved the problem, because when I towed my camper back from SE Florida to mid-NC a month ago, it was beeping and disconnecting the ENTIRE TIME. Drove me nuts.
Never had any issues before then, but when it decided to go, it went quickly.
I just had the Trailer Brake Controller replaced today. I won’t know if it’s resolved for sure until I can hookup and put a few miles on it.
1100 a month for 7 years…. dont get fired, demoted, sick, have change in life..
More than a mortgage payment. My dad said that you had to “whip them payments”. Seven years is a long time to whip payments.
What gets me is the mileage on the lease you can’t do anything with the vehicle except drive a short distance to work and back home. My house payment is not $1100.00 and I refuse to buy at that price.
Amen, Brother Norris. These manufacturers are just pricing themselves out of existence. I just do not see how people will continue to pay high prices and high interest rates for these vehicles. The vehicles are nice but in 7 years, what do you have.
I’d calculate how much money you actually end up paying for these $70K plus trucks but I don’t even want to know.
The idea the people will just trade in for another truck with another loan and have a vehicle payment that charges interest for decades is absolutely crazy.
Some people are just “note buyers” and do not look at the other angles of finance, especially debt.
Luckily, I was in a position to pay cash for my 2024 LT Z71 gasser last year. Not sure how people are doing it with financing. That’s a lot of dough to pay to the bank. I guess a lot of people are just bad at math.
well those same people will say its a lot of dough to drop cash on something and they would rather finance so they can walk away if something happens. that is for those who can pay for it but choose to finance regardless. those who cant pay for it, well they just finance. no choice there heh.
Wow, 5.9 it’s embarrassing for GM to tout that as a good deal.
Exactly; like they are giving us something. Remember back in the late 1970’s when they came out with 12.99% financing on new Chevrolets – and that was a deal at the time.
The prices of these HD trucks reminds me of that funny scene from one of my favorite movies of all time: “Used Cars”.
