Chevy Corvette E-Ray Pricing For Australia And New Zealand Uncovered

The mid-engine C8 Corvette has made waves for a number of different reasons, but for overseas buyers, its designation as the first Corvette to offer a right-hand drive configuration directly from the factory makes it a standout. That should include Chevy enthusiasts in Australia and New Zealand, with the first right-hand-drive C8 Stingray units arriving in both countries in early 2022. Now, General Motors has unveiled official pricing information for the 2024 Corvette E-Ray in both Australia and New Zealand.

In Australia, the 2024 E-Ray is priced at AUD$275,000, while in New Zealand, the hybrid sports car is offered from NZD$285,000. At current exchange rates, these prices translate to approximately $182,300 USD in Australia and $171,600 USD in New Zealand. Both markets will exclusively receive the range-topping Corvette E-Ray 3LZ Coupe configuration. For comparison, the 2025 E-Ray 3LZ Coupe starts at $119,545 here in the United States.

When it comes to performance, the Australia- and New Zealand-bound E-Rays will feature the same powertrain as the U.S.-spec model. That includes the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine paired with a front-mounted electric motor. The V8 alone produces 396 kW (495 horsepower) and 637 Nm (470 pound-feet) of torque. Combined with the electric motor, total output reaches 488 kW (654 horsepower) and 806 Nm (594 pound-feet) of torque. Power is delivered to the road through an all-wheel-drive system, with the V8 driving the rear wheels and the electric motor driving the front wheels.

In addition to its impressive powertrain, every E-Ray destined for Australia and New Zealand is equipped with high-performance features such as carbon-ceramic brakes, plus the ZER Performance Package, which includes Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and Magnetic Ride Control performance suspension. A taller spoiler wicker “for track use” is also included.

As is the case for all C8 Vette models, the E-Ray is produced at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky, riding on the GM Y2 platform.
