When it comes to performance-minded Chevy Camaro models, the fifth-gen Camaro Z/28 might be the most capable of them all. While it may not be the most powerful production-spec Camaro ever built, the naturally aspirated 7.0L V8 LS7 gasoline engine is certainly no slouch, as is the assortment of track-focused goodies onboard. With that in mind, check out this claimed one-of-one 2015 Chevy Camaro Z/28 Black Panther Edition.
Of course, General Motors never built a Black Panther Special Edition fifth-gen Z/28, so it’s likely that this Bow Tie muscle car is no more unique than any other Camaro Z/28 outside of the badging and some mechanical mods. In fact, this Camaro has plenty of interesting badges and logos, including a plaque in the engine bay indicating it as a one-of-one model, as well as “Redline Motorsports” badging. Some additional bits include a “Black Panther” strut tower brace, carbon fiber-style engine covers, and a FAST LSXR intake manifold.
It’s worth noting that the Redline Motorsports badging was possibly some sort of upgrade from Redline in Pompano Beach, Florida.
In other Camaro Z/28 news, GM Authority recently reported on what appeared to be a never-before-seen Camaro Z/28 concept. Spotted at GM’s scrapyard prep area with other concepts, this particular example boasted a number of interesting design cues, including a rear wing, slimmer taillights, a higher-mounted trunk, and a unique rear bumper and diffuser setup.
As a reminder, the fifth-gen Chevy Camaro Z/28 launched for the 2014 model year, and created quite the uproar upon its debut. As a track-dedicated model, the Z/28 was intended solely for performance driving, as evidenced by its lack of standard air conditioning and just a single interior speaker. However, with a starting MSRP of $75,000, many enthusiasts and prospective buyers lamented the fact that the Camaro Z/28 was more expensive than a fifth-gen Camaro ZL1, which was notably more powerful.

Yeah, it definitely looks like it was owned and modified by a Wakandan.
Very similar to my Redline Motorsports Camaro with an all aluminum LS7 (427) ZL1 clone. Dyno says Over 550 hp at the rear wheels w/ upgrades to the heads, cam, etc. Except mine is a 2010 and was redone by Strictly Performance Motorsports in Kalamazoo, Mich.
“Special edition”. Yeah…no. Just a sticker/decal job and some engine work from a performance shop.
Man, my photos have been shared and claimed by so many it’s crazy! Wild though people actually take credit for others leg work!
