The all-new 2025 Lincoln Navigator has made its formal debut, marking the arrival of Lincoln’s next-generation flagship SUV. Following a teaser posted earlier this week, the Navigator is stepping into the limelight with a new exterior, a new interior, and new technology. When it goes on sale next year, the new Navigator will rival the Cadillac Escalade.
The 2025 Navigator showcases a redesigned exterior from head to tail. The front end features a sleek, redefined nose with horizontal signature lighting that bisects the grille, seamlessly connecting the headlamp clusters. This design language carries through to the rear, where the taillights stretch across the hatch, folding into the rear fenders to create a unified appearance. In back, the Lincoln Split Gate enhances utility by allowing the top three-quarters of the hatch to rise like a traditional liftgate, while the bottom section lowers like a tailgate. Standard 22-inch wheels roll in the corners, with 24-inch high-gloss Ebony or Luster Nickel aluminum wheels offered as an optional upgrade.
Inside, the 2025 Navigator cabin is dominated by a 48-inch panoramic display mounted on top of the dash, complemented by an 11.1-inch touchscreen control panel. The tech suite includes Google Assistant, Google Maps, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and access to further apps via the Google Play store. Ford’s a hands-free driving assist technology, BlueCruise, is equipped as standard. There’s also enough space to accommodates up to eight passengers.
Under the hood, the 2025 Navigator packs a twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine delivering 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is standard, as is adaptive suspension with continuously controlled damping. Opt for the available Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package, and the Navigator’s towing capacity is boosted to 8,700 pounds.
The next-gen 2025 Lincoln Navigator will go on sale in the spring of the 2025 calendar year.

It’s stunning. Definitely a good rival for the Escalade! Too bad they don’t have a version to go against the V8!
Looks good. Handsome with road presence.
As always, I think the Lincoln looks good and that they’ve done a good job…an but then an Escalade pulls up. The Navigator seems to fill the space somewhere in-between a Yukon Denali and the Escalade where other vehicles like the Infinity QX80 occupy. Caddy has always seemed to be a step ahead of the navigator in class which is also reflected in the fact that the escalade has sold 2:1 against the navigator over the last 10 years. I don’t see this changing anytime soon. Adding to that, the ev Escalade will open up a whole new segment of people along side of the gas version which should widen that gap even more.
Cover the name, grille and taillamps and from 15 feet away you would be hard pressed to know if it’s a Buick, Ford, Chevy, Range Rover or any of the other gazillion bland boxes parading as luxury vehicles. Just like the Escalade is an over-priced and glorified Tahoe, this is just a glorified Ford.
Lincoln is a lost brand with no real purpose any more. Cadillac isn’t much better.
Lincoln and Cadillac are way better now than they were 20 years ago. They’ve come a long way. At least the Escalade and navigator looks good. Can’t say the same about the BMW x7. The GLS looks boring, and Audi can’t even compete.
Lincoln was better 20 years ago because they had sedans in the lineup. Remember, Lincoln had the v8 LS sports sedan and Town Car/ LWB Town car. Now all the brand has are trucks/wagons. Lincoln needs a proper LS, Continental and Mark9 utilizing S650 from the mustang.
Larry: I won’t disagree with you depending on what the “better” is that you bring up.
Sales? Cadillac is nowhere near where they used to be and that included 20 years ago. I do think the quality is slightly better now than in 2004, but not much. The lineup now is way worse than in 2004 as now they are totally SUV heavy/biased and they give zero love or attention to the CT4/5.
So can I ask an honest question? What is it that you feel is better today?
Cadillac’s global all-time sales record was in 2019. Currently Cadillac’s best selling vehicle (globally) is the CT5
Also, they were supposed to break their global sales record (again) in 2021, but I don’t know if they did because I can’t find the 2021 numbers.
Needs a diesel to be competitive.
“All New”????
The author didn’t look very closely.
This is a Boob n Butt job on the current one.
Looks like a big Dodge Durango…
They all look the same. Doesn’t matter what the emblem says. Fat, too big, ugly and boring.
I love the new design direction Lincoln is taking and it seems to be working so far with the new Nautilus. That being said, there is one thing that I have an issue with. A more annoying issue than the whole made in China thing (which doesn’t apply for the Navigator but does on their 5-passenger mid-sizer where I generally shop in). This new oval steering wheel. I am just not a fan of this. I do most of my driving one handed and just looking at that wheel I feel like its going to be awkward and annoying for me trying to make a turn with one hand. I guess it would boil down to a test drive but if the car just feels awkward to drive it will certainly be a dealbreaker. I can overlook the made in China thing if the car is really darn good, but making me change the way I been driving for over 23 years is going to be a problem.
the design of lincolns normally is better what GM does
And yet the GM sales are much better than what Ford does, as in more than 2 to 1 Escalade over Navigator.
So why don’t the Lincoln use air suspension on the new Navigator like the Aviator does? No soft closed or fully powered open/closed doors? And no fold out tables for the executive seat package? The interior don’t seem to impress especially on the doors which look bland. And the pillar-to-pillar screen is not too impressive.
I am not impressed with the ’25 Navigator. I feel they did not do enough for the brand and it is just more of a refreshed getting by till an all new platform is build in a few years if they are planning to do a new platform for the F150 due to electrification.
Even though it is a nice vehicle, Lincoln did not go far enough.
