Along with the global debut of the all-new 2025 GMC Terrain in Detroit, General Motors officially announced the redesigned GMC compact crossover in Mexico.
The automaker’s Mexican subsidiary took advantage of the global reveal to announce the all-new 2025 GMC Terrain in the country’s domestic market where it is manufactured, and the only one in all of Latin America where the GMC brand is officially present. In fact, GM Mexico revealed that the new third-generation 2025 Terrain will be available in the Mexican market in the last quarter of the year.
“The 2025 GMC Terrain builds on GMC’s strengths and offers our latest premium technology and safety features, while bringing a fresh, bold design to our two-row SUV,” said former Global Vice President of Buick and GMC, Duncan Aldred. “With the next-gen Terrain, the entire GMC SUV lineup will be refreshed by year end, giving customers the latest design, the best technology and the best driving experience we’ve ever offered in our SUVs,” he added.
Based on an updated version of GM’s D2 platform, the redesigned all-new 2025 GMC Terrain debuts an all-new exterior design and a reimagined next-generation interior with more space, technology and standard safety features. The automaker announced that the new 2025 Terrain will be available in distinctive Elevation, AT4 and Denali trim levels that feature unique front fascias and overall trim.
Aesthetically, the 2025 GMC Terrain features a new design language inspired by GMC’s pickup line, including a more prominent grille with truck-like shapes and elements, giving it a more robust and athletic presence. In this sense, the body has muscular lines and shapes for extra character, while the straight-lined interior and massive 15-inch vertical infotainment touchscreen raise the level of sophistication and technology.
The all-new 2025 GMC Terrain will officially launch in Mexico during the last quarter of this year, a few weeks after the model’s introduction in the U.S. market. The Mexican subsidiary will reveal all the specific details and configurations with which the 2025 Terrain will be sold in the Mexican market. The crossover will continue to be manufactured at the GM San Luis Potosí plant in the Latin country.
