2026 Cadillac Vistiq In Opulent Blue: Live Photo Gallery

The all-electric Cadillac Vistiq crossover was unveiled in December of the 2023 calendar year, arriving as a brand-new three-row option in Caddy’s battery-powered vehicle lineup, slotting in above the Lyriq, and below the Escalade IQ. Now, we’re getting an eyeful of the new Vistiq as it looks out in the real world, this time covered in Opulent Blue paint. This particular example also shows a few curious details worth examining, including mismatched door handles.

The 2026 Cadillac Vistiq in Opulent Blue paint.

First and foremost, we think the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq looks great in Opulent Blue, with the navy-colored body panels complemented by black trim and silver detailing. The front end shows the characteristic Caddy EV styling cues, with the blocked-off upper grille section incorporating thin lighting elements, while the primary forward lighting is provided by vertically oriented headlamps in the sides of the fascia. Thin upper lighting sections are connected by a broad chrome trim line, while further chrome trim accentuates the lower bumper wings.

Viewed from the side, we see a set of large multi-spoke wheels, which present a two-tone black-and-silver finish. We also notice the Caddy badge on the fenders, plus the driver’s-side charging port. Interestingly, this particular Vistiq prototype is equipped with body-colored door handles and black window surrounds on one side of the vehicle, and chrome door handles with chrome upper window trim on the other side.

Moving to the rear, this Vistiq prototype shows dark inner graphics for the tail lamps, as well as silver trim underlining the rear hatch glass and bumper. Also notable is the badging, with the Vistiq nameplate placed on the driver’s side of the hatch, and 600 E4 placed on the passenger’s side of the hatch.

It’s also worth noting that this particular prototype is very similar to the configuration shown on the landing page for the Vistiq at Cadillac.com, with the only real difference being the extra styling lines around the C and D pillars.

As a reminder, the 2026 Vistiq is motivated by GM Ultium batteries and GM Utlium Drive motors, riding on the GM BEV3 platform. Production will take place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, with availability opening up early next year.

  1. It looks exactly like the one we got to see a few months back before its public debut, a baby Escalade IQ. ( Sport Vs Luxury- without building it, I thought it was clay because of that).

This will be the breadwinner for the EV line-up for price point, 3rd row- luxury, and size.

  2. The chrome trim really helps this shine with that color. I would tint the windows, heavily smoke the upper rear taillights, and maybe vinyl wrap the canopy in black; push the design language towards Range Rover.

  3. If they price this aggressively which they should, this will sell like Hotcakes.
Seems to be the perfect size for a three row Luxury SUV

Hopefully it will have at least 320 Miles with the Dual Motor version and a charging speed of at least 250kW

    1. I can see them selling in the hundreds and hundreds per month…..after about $20K in incentives and sitting on the lots for 5-8 months, and after the eventual stop sale and recall is completed.

  4. The dark color doesn’t do justice to all that’s going on at the C / D pillar. It looks like a Lincoln SUV in dark blue.

  5. Manufacturers and customers are going away from electric vehicles. However, Cadillac continues down this path. What is needed is a hybrid. I saw Cadillac was working on one for 2027. My 2023 XT6 lease is up next year but I am not going for another one when it will be discontinued. You know something is wrong with GM’s plans when the new Traverse is going with a premium.

    1. Cadillac accounts for 10% of GM sales, half of that is Escalades. The Cadillac team is getting smaller, so their focus is on Escalades and EVs. They don’t have the bandwidth to work on hybrids or ICE vehicles. With their EVs, there’s more resource sharing between other departments. After 2026 there will be no ICE crossovers, and they will not be introducing any hybrids. When they say they’ll offer both instead of being EV only by 2030, they mean EVs and Escalades

      1. So like the 95-98% of the buying public that doesn’t want an electric car?

        Eff them right?

I guess they can go buy a Toyota?

        1. Correct, they view them as peasants.

Nice seeing you by the way, how’ve you been?

  8. The proportions of this thing are beautiful, I’m super impressed.

  9. Could have thrown some Lyric and Escalade styling touches on the XT6 and laughed all the way to the bank but GM seems to be allergic to making money and selling cars people want.

  10. The Dash to Axle ratio is off, looks like a Bolt, it should have been made to look like a CT6.. longer

  11. Is it just me … or does this look a WHOLE LOT like my XT6? Did you see that GM sells a PHEV Chevy Equinox in china that’s rated for 96 miles on electric, and 621 total miles of range? Strangely, they’re not going to sell that vehicle in America. Build me a 3-row PHEV Cadillac XT6 that gets even 50 miles all electric and 500 miles total range and I’ll buy one! Heck, I might even buy the Equinox if it comes with all wheel drive!
In typical fashion, GM will be arriving at the party with TOO little, TOO late, and then wonder why they aren’t competitive.

    1. Here’s something to think about, GM only owns part of the Chinese venture. What if they don’t actually own the rights to use that technology here in the US and the reason, they need 3 years to bring one is that they need to actually figure out how to do it.

      1. GM already had the technology … it’s called Voltec and was amazing until they decided not to use it. I think GM has the ability to build a PHEV Equinox, using a larger battery pack than in the 2019 Volt, while using the same 1.5L turbo engine they used on the Volt, and still use on the American Equinox. They just don’t want to admit in specific terms that going “all electric” was not a good transition to make.

  12. Oh look, the boring xt6 finally benchmarked the gorgeous Lincoln aviator! Cool, looks better for sure. They’ll make a bunch of these, They’ll sell about 1000 before the horrible reviews start coming out, and once the lots are filled the plant will shutdown because only mary barra doesn’t know that the consumer is demanding ICE. Offer 3.0l TTV6+10spd, longitudinal mounted with real awd (Ala audi) and you have a winner.

  13. These are two different vehicles. Plate numbers are different. Not sure how author missed that one. First Vistiq has blacked out trim above window and for roof rails and body colored door handles. The other has more chrome. I’m assuming the first is reflective of the ‘Sport’ trim and the second will be the ‘Luxury’ or similar. Window graphics are super cheesy. Hope that’s an option that can be eliminated.
