The General has added a new appearance package, the Dark Essentials Package (RPO code PDB), to the available options offered on the 2025 GMC Hummer EV, including both the Hummer Pickup and Hummer SUV variants of the vehicle.
This Hummer EV appearance package is an LPO or dealer-installed option, with no pricing available at this time. The contents of the Dark Essentials Package include the following (with relevant RPO codes in parenthesis along with other info):
- Emblems in Black (LPO, RIK)
- Black Rear D-Ring Recovery Hook (LPO, SDA)
- 22-inch Gloss Black Painted Aluminum wheels (PHY, 3X trim only)
- 22-inch Gloss Black Painted Aluminum spare wheel (QNF, 3X trim only)
The Dark Essentials Package for the 2025 GMC Hummer adds a new option to the electric vehicle’s lineup following the removal of the Omega Edition package (RPO code WFP) for the 2025 model year. Retirement of the Omega Edition package, which was offered only for the 3X trim level, also involved dropping the exclusive Neptune Blue Matte exterior color (paint code GLG) from the model’s palette.
Several other changes will debut with the 2025 GMC Hummer EV, including removal of the 2 trim level from the trim lineup of both the Pickup and SUV. The 2025 Hummer will include only the 2X and 3X trims. Four paint colors available for 2024 have been retired for 2025, with two new colors, Graphite Blue Metallic (color code GAI) and Solar Orange (color code GAG), replacing them indirectly.
Notably, the Sky Panel Storage Set (RPO code SC8) is returning to availability for the 2025 model year.
Pricing for the 2025 GMC Hummer EV Pickup starts at $98,845 for the 2X, $106,945 for the 3X equipped with a 20-module battery, and $116,940 for the 24-module battery 3X configuration, unchanged from the 2024 model year. Meanwhile, prices for the 2025 GMC Hummer EV SUV are also unchanged, pegged at a starting MSRP of $98,845 for the 2X trim and $106,945 for the 3X trim.
The 2025 Pickup and SUV will continue to feature Combined Charging System Combo 1 (CCS1) and five-pin SAE J1772 connectors for charging, with use of the NACS charging standard delayed until the 2026 model year. Motivation comes from two or three GM Ultium Drive motors, while GM Ultium batteries provide electricity to the propulsion units.
Under the body panels, the GM BT1 platform provides the bones for all GMC Hummer EV configurations. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant previously the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant, in Michigan.
