The 2025 Corvette ZR1 is wickedly fast, and looks every inch the part of a high-powered performance machine thanks to a series of unique styling features. Naturally, customers will have a wide variety of colors and customization options at their disposal to make the new C8 Corvette ZR1 distinctly theirs. Now, we’re checking out this new ZR1 Coupe in Black paint.
Captured at the official reveal event held in Miami late last month, this C8 Corvette ZR1 pairs Black paint (paint code GBA) with a set of Full Length Dual Racing Stripes running down the spine of the vehicle. The name of the color for these racing stripes has yet to be announced, but appear to be a blueish gray color that adds a nice splash of color to the Black body panels.
The same blueish gray color can be seen on the seatbelts, as well as the large ZR1-specific wheels rolling in the corners. The forged wheels are sized at 20-inches in front and 21 inches in the rear, giving the ZR1 a staggered setup, with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires used for traction. Under the large, multi-spoke wheels, the ZR1 includes carbon ceramic brakes measuring in at 15.7 inches in front and 15.4 inches in the rear.
Looking over the exterior, we also notice the lack of a massive rear wing, indicating that this particular model isn’t equipped with the aero upgrades included with the optional ZTK performance package. Also notable are the large intakes on top of the rear fenders, a feature exclusive to the C8 Corvette ZR1 Coupe, as the folding roof equipped by the C8 ZR1 Convertible makes it so that these functional intakes can’t be used. As a reminder, the C8 Corvette ZR1 cradles the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7 gasoline engine as standard, churning out 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. Properly unleashed, it’s enough to run down the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds and charge up to a top speed of 215 mph. All C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, and each unit is produced at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

One of the nicest little two-seater runabouts out there.
The C8 body has a lot of styling details such as scoops, angles, grilles, flares, openings, etc. In black these things get “lost” in reflections. C8 in black is not my choice. But I understand that others may like it.
