2025 Chevy Tahoe, Suburban Get Expanded Super Cruise Availability

For the upcoming model year, the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and 2025 Chevy Suburban are highlighted by a mid-cycle refresh that brings about several updates to the exterior styling, interior appointments, and powertrain specifications. With that in mind, the revised 2025 Tahoe and 2025 Suburban full-size SUVs will receive expanded availability for the GM Super Cruise feature.
For reference, the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban offered Super Cruise (RPO code UKL) as part of the Advanced Technology Package (RPO code PDN) on the Premier and High Country trim levels. Now, the driving feature will be offered as part of the revised Advanced Technology Package (RPO code PDN) on the LT and RST trim levels for the 2025 model year.
Of course, Super Cruise is still available on 2025 Tahoe and Suburban Premier and High Country models, but as a standalone option. However, on the Premier trim, the Technology and Entertainment Package (RPO code PDG), Max Trailering Package (RPO code NHT) and Enhanced Trailer View (RPO code ZM1) must be optioned first. Meanwhile, High Country units must equip 4WD and ether the Sun and Tow Package (RPO code PCU) or the High Country Deluxe Package (RPO code PDM).
It’s worth noting that Super Cruise can’t be combined with the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, regardless of trim level, and remains unavailable on LS and Z71 variants. As of the time of this writing, Super Cruise won’t be on offer at the start of regular production (SORP), as it will become available later in the model year.
As a reminder, the 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban will continue to ride on the GM T1 platform – the same architecture that underpins the GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade – while production is currently scheduled to kick off on October 7th, 2024 at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas.

Why would the Duramax prevent having the SC option I wonder? I have the LM2 on my 23 Yukon with SC.
I would assume SC cannot be combined with the Duramax diesel LZO engine due to the engine not being offered until later in the model year?
What color is the top picture? I didn’t see anything that looks like that in the color article from a few days ago.
The top picture is the new Cypress Gray color and appears to only be available on the Z71 and RST models.
When is the 25 MY Order Guide going to be released?
It is out right now on the gm fleet site
Why not allow SC on the Z71 Trim?
The driver assists on my ’23 suburban Duramax are crappy enough as it is (no lane centering, weak lane keep assist) – was potentially interested in trading up to the refresh to get SuperCruise option but won’t give up my diesel.
Unless SC becomes available with the Duramax at some point, Chevy can count me out for the foreseeable future.
And while I’m griping, how about some collapsible headrests on the middle seats? Has GM never heard of whiplash? So many other manufacturers put them in, there’s no viable argument for why GM doesn’t – especially when digital rear cameras are available to mitigate any “lack of visibility” behind the vehicle.
