Just one model year removed from a substantial mid-cycle refresh, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD checks in with comparably minimal updates over the preceding model year. That being said, there are still some notable changes for the 2025 model year, so for any prospective buyers looking to explore what the Bow Tie brand’s heavy-duty pickup truck has to offer, the 2025 Silverado HD online configurator is now live.
For starters, explorers must opt between the 2500 HD and the 3500 HD. From there, both pickup series are offered in specific combinations of Regular Cab, Double Cab, Crew Cab, Standard Bed and Long Bed configurations. Of course, each one can then be customized with its own set of exterior paint colors, interior colorways, wheels, packages, and options.
As a reminder, the Chevy Silverado HD boasts a few updates for the fresh 2025 model year, including a new universal vehicle module, reduced Midnight Edition availability, expanded park assist availability, standard adaptive cruise control on High Country trim levels, the introduction of the Silverado HD Trail Boss, and a reshuffling of wheel options and paint colors.
Under the hood, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD is offered with the choice between two powerplants, including the standard naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, or the optional 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. Regardless of engine choice, both powerplants are mated to the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic transmission as standard.
In regard to structure, the Chevy Silverado HD is underpinned by a more capable variant of the GM T1 platform. Meanwhile, production kicked off in August 2024 at the GM Flint plant in Michigan and the GM Oshawa plant in Canada. Pricing figures start at $47,295 for a Work Truck (WT) with the gasoline engine.

You still can’t add the LED headlights to the LT without going painted body colored bumpers, that is unreal to me. Chrome bumpers are 10x more durable in terms of finish and look better and more fitting of a truck IMO. Sure, can go after market but they just look that and without the same reliability. Don’t get me started on throwing in LEDs in the halogen reflector headlights, that’s just illegal no matter which way you paint it and a dik move that blinds everyone without much if any improvement in light out (it is brighter but coverage and intensity is worse). People don’t understand lights have different wave lengths among many other properties.
Too bad the trailboss doesn’t atleast come with a small lift. They should have kept the same lift as the ZR2 with Ranch shocks. And who puts 20’s on an off road package??? Always should be the smallest wheel that clears the brakes.
Yea you can configure all you want but no price is shown…
It shows for me…
It’s probably the options I’m choosing… must be on constraint? If I do a basic build, I get a price
When will the GM sites update the build and price functions. This is ridiculous that we’re in the 2025 build window and the sites still only list 2024 models. Come one GM!!
