GM pulled the sheets off the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade in mid-July, showcasing new exterior styling, a cockpit highlighted by an enormous 55-inch screen, a reworked engine lineup, and more. Furthermore, it appears that three exterior paint colors that were already built out for the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will be unsurprisingly retired from the 2025 palette.
The three colors that will be dropped for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade consist of those listed below (relevant color code in parenthesis):
- Dark Emerald Metallic (G6N) – added for the 2023 model year
- Dark Moon Blue Metallic (GLU) – added for the 2021 model year
- Sandstone Metallic (GJW) – added for the 2021 model year
In place of these exterior paint options, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade will add two new colors as indirect replacements, including (relevant color code in parenthesis):
- Aegean Stone (GBD)
- Deep Sea Metallic (GXP)
- Latte Metallic (G5D)
In addition to the 55-inch pillar-to-pillar infotainment screen, which is divided into a 35-inch driver display and a 20-inch front passenger display, the refreshed Escalade also gets 5G connectivity, an AKG Studio audio system, and standard GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance among other new features. The exterior boasts updated aesthetics, including a standard illuminated front crest and available 24-inch wheels.
As a reminder, the 2025 Escalade will continue to draw standard motivation from the 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, which develops 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. However, GM dropped the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine from the sport utility’s powertrain lineup because of weak demand. Cog swaps are handled by the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.
Under the sheet metal, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is underpinned by the GM T1 platform, which has been utilized as the bones for the SUV since the 2021 model year debut of the current generation. Production of the 2025 Escalade is currently scheduled to kick off on October 7th, 2024, at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas.
