2025 Cadillac Escalade-V Won’t Offer These Two Paint Colors

Though the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V is only the third model year of the luxury SUV’s V-Series variant, it is receiving a mid-cycle refresh alongside the standard 2025 Cadillac Escalade, with the same pillar-to-pillar display screen and other styling and tech updates.
Now, GM Authority has learned two exterior paint colors will be dropped from the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V compared to the 2024 model year. These colors were already built out for 2024, making their removal for 2025 a nearly foregone outcome. The two colors are the following (relevant color codes in parenthesis):
- Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK) – added for the 2024 model year
- Dark Emerald Metallic (G6N) – added for the 2023 model year
Notably, the Black Diamond Tricoat exterior paint color for the Cadillac Escalade-V was deliberately introduced for only a single model year as part of The General’s special 2024 features to celebrate two decades of Cadillac’s V-series vehicles. It was one of several 20th Anniversary features for the Escalade-V offered only on the previous model year.
As an indirect replacement for the retired paint colors, three new colors are joining the 2025 Cadillac Escalade lineup, though only one of these is offered on the Escalade-V, as shown below:
- Aegean Stone (GBD) – available on Escalade-V
- Deep Sea Metallic (GXP) – not available on Escalade-V
- Latte Metallic (G5D) – not available on Escalade-V
A reworked exterior with an illuminated front Cadillac crest as standard includes various styling upgrades, while the Escalade-V has the option to ride on 24-inch wheels for the first time. Inside, a 55-inch infotainment screen stretches across the whole dash, and includes a 35-inch driver display and a 20-inch front passenger display. Among other items of convenience tech is the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance system equipped as standard.
For motivation, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V gets the powerful supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which develops a pavement-scorching 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. The high-performance luxury SUV variant is equipped as standard with all-wheel drive, while the GM 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels.
Under the body panels, the 2025 Escalade-V rides on the GM T1 platform once again. Production of the luxury sport utility is currently scheduled to begin on October 7th, 2024 at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas.
