Officially unveiled back in April 2024, the 2025 Buick Enclave marks the arrival of the Tri-Shield brand’s third-generation crossover, highlighted by a restyled exterior, an overhauled cabin, and an updated powertrain. Of course, the all-new 2025 Enclave also boasts a few notable drive modes, so today, GM Authority is taking a closer look in the following explainer.
The 2025 Buick Enclave is available with up to six drive modes, including Normal, Sport, Snow / Ice, Off-Road, Tow / Haul, and AWD. Drivers must press the “Mode” buttons on the instrument panel positioned to the left of the steering wheel to activate each mode.
Normal Mode
Normal Mode is used for regular city and highway driving to allow for a smooth ride, and provides a balance between comfort and handling.
Sport Mode
Sport Mode is utilized when road conditions or personal preference demands a more controlled response. This drive mode improves vehicle handling and acceleration on dry pavement by modifying steering efforts, pedal tuning, engine sound.
Snow / Ice Mode
Snow / Ice Mode is used to improve vehicle acceleration on snow-covered roads by adjusting pedal tuning to optimize traction on slippery surfaces. However, this can affect acceleration on dry asphalt.
Off-Road Mode
Off-Road Mode is utilized for all-terrain recreational driving. This drive mode improves driving at moderate speeds, and on grass, gravel, dirt, unpaved roads, or snow-covered roads. Notably, the accelerator pedal is tuned for off-road use, while the StabiliTrak/Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Traction Control Systems (TCS) are modified for optimal performance.
Tow / Haul Mode
Tow / Haul Mode is used to assist when pulling a heavy load. When active, this drive mode modifies transmission shifting, suspension tuning, steering effort, and Trailer Sway Control in order to assist in maintaining the desired vehicle speed when driving on downhill grades. For vehicles equipped with the all-wheel drivetrain, this mode also engages AWD.
AWD Mode
AWD Mode is utilized to direct torque to all four wheels. This drive mode improves traction and control on slippery road surfaces, such as gravel, sand, wet pavement, snow, and ice.

Anyone know when the on line configuration will be up on the web site.
Just went to Buick’s website and it is up. Either you didn’t check or the small chance it went up in the two and a half hours when you asked. I bet you just didn’t check…
I was on the web site yesterday and was only info no place to build one
It’s up on their website now. I just configured on myself.
Sounds like a bunch of choices just waiting to break. I’ve had 7 Enclaves and my 2024 is probably the last one. The thing that bothers me the most is the 2.5 turbo. Even Jeep has it as an Option. Wake Up GM!
