BMW has unveiled the all-new 2025 BMW M5 Touring, a high-performance Bavarian long-roof throwing down with over 700 horsepower thanks to a hybrid V8 powertrain. Making its North American debut today at Pebble Beach Automotive Week, the M5 Touring matches aggressive styling, track-ready equipment, and surprising utility into a single package. The 2025 BMW M5 Touring has no direct rival from Cadillac, with the closest thing being the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan. The last high-performance wagon Cadillac offered was the second-generation CTS-V wagon, which was discontinued in 2014.
Up front, we spot the characteristic double-kidney grille, while a set of plus-sized multi-spoke alloy wheels roll in the corners, staggered at 20 inches in diameter in front, and 21 inches in diameter in the rear. Further design features include pumped-up wheel arch flares, chiseled character lines, and full LED lighting from front to back, plus a roof spoiler on the hatch. The paint options list offers exclusive M hues like Isle of Man Green metallic and Marina Bay Blue metallic.
Inside, the new M5 Touring incorporates a 12.3-inch digital information display behind the steering wheel with a 14.9-inch control display for infotainment and vehicle functions. There’s also an M-branded leather steering wheel and a standard BMW Head-Up Display, plus supportive M Multifunction Seats with optional Full Merino Metallic leather.
Behind the double-kidney snout lies a a TwinPower Turbo 4.4L V8 engine delivering 577 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 553 pound-feet of torque at 5,400 rpm. The ICE is paired with a single electric motor integrated into the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, with the motor adding an additional 194 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque, while also enabling all-electric driving. The combination of the V8 engine and electric motor results in a total system output of 717 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, accelerating the wagon from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 3.5 seconds, and 0 to 124 mph in 11.1 seconds. Top speed is set at 155 mph as standard, and 190 mph with the optional M Driver’s Package equipped.
Pricing for the 2025 BMW M5 Touring starts at $121,500, plus a destination charge of $1,175. The new M5 Touring will launch worldwide in the fourth quarter of this year.

Amazing
If there is ever a gap to fill in the automotive body style offerings, bmw will build a few. What’s with their new turn signal lighting? It looks ancient!
I know why caddy has no direct replacement. That gen 2 Vagon sold around 1600 copies in 4 years of production. I know, I own one. They are nice and I may bury myself in mine, but they did not catch on. Even with the minimal engineering to make the wagon variant (think sedan from front to C pillar) I think they still probably did not make back the NRE.
I had a 2013 V-Wagon, 6-speed. That car was great to take to the mountains and play Rodney Roadracer. I ending up selling it (bought it for a work car, 18mpg wasn’t cutting it). I’m now on my third V6 powered Sport Wagon, a 2010 3.6 Performance. Since I’m now retired, if Cadillac built a CT5-V Wagon I’m in.
I am glad to see someone introduce something new that is not another SUV. Wagons are great. My Regal TourX was my daily until my daughter started to drive. Now it is hers to use. Perfect for athletic gear and music equipment.
BMW has the global presence to make a business case for this. Cadillac does not.
do not understand how so ugly cars sells like water on desert cities
CT5 wagon anyone? Yum
