General Motors has released a recall for select units of the Chevy Malibu and Cadillac XT4 due to an issue with incorrect owner’s manuals.
The problem: affected vehicles may have a condition where they fail to conform to certain owner’s manual content requirements of the Federal / Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (F/CMVSS), including S12 of FMVSS No. 225, “Child restraint anchorage systems” and including section 22 of CMVSS No. 210.2, “Lower Universal Anchorage Systems for Restraint Systems and Booster Seats.”
The hazards: if this condition were to occur, owners may be confused about the safe use and operation of the vehicle, thus increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The fix: certified GM technicians will be instructed to inspect affected vehicles and provide the correct owner’s manual, free of charge. Notably, this should take techs less than 30 minutes to perform.

Number of affected vehicles: this recall covers 16 Malibu and six XT4 examples, for a total of 22 vehicles.

Well, at least it’s not another software issue!!
Bad morning at Fairfax Assembly?
At least gm isnt king of recalls ! And as you tube channel shock jocks make it sounds it mire like 22,000 units recalled its only 22 ! Besides who reads the owner manuals ?
Cant even put the right owners manual in the glovebox… wtf is wrong at lower case gm?
Since it is just a segment of the owner’s manuals- they were likely assembled wrong before being shipped to factory.- They are barcoded to each car and prepackaged.
