2024 Chevy Blazer EV PPV Now Shipping To Police Departments Across The Country

Introduced alongside its mainstream counterparts, the Chevy Blazer EV PPV is designed specifically with law enforcement in mind. Based on the high-performance Blazer EV SS, the pursuit-rated all-electric crossover will stand as the Bow Tie brand’s quickest police package ever. With that in mind, it now appears as though Blazer EV PPV examples are on their way to a police department near you.

According to statements from a GM spokesperson, production of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV PPV is currently under way, with units now being shipped to police departments.

“The Police Pursuit Vehicle, which is based on the SS, is being produced now and shipping to police organizations across the country,” a GM spokesperson explained. “Chevy prioritized the higher-volume Blazer EV trims first, and the retail-focused SS will be available in the future, the latest timing has not been announced.”

It’s worth noting that the Blazer EV SS has yet to officially launch, but is currently slated to arrive as a 2025 model-year vehicle.

As a reminder, the Chevy Blazer EV PPV boasts a bevy of law enforcement-focused goodies, including a heavy-duty suspension setup, six-piston Brembo front brake calipers, underbody skid plates, 20-inch steel wheels wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Pursuit tires, and various emergency equipment. Additionally, the Blazer EV PPV will be capable of light towing, for items like radar trailers and bike racks.

In regard to output figures, the Blazer EV PPV’s GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies work in tandem to deliver 498 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. Under the skin, all Blazer EV variants ride on the GM BEV3 platform, which also underpins the Chevy Equinox EV. Production of the 2025 model year kicked off earlier this month at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

Probably be a lot of takers for the Blazer EV Police Interceptor Version…

The BOLT EUV version was rather marginal, especially with the 120 amp ‘Solid State Alternator’ powering things on the 12 volt side.

My LYRIQ I estimate has a 200 ampere version (I can’t be exact since haven’t seen any service manual as of yet for it), and I assume the Blazer EV is identical. Which is enough for all the crap they power in and outside the car, plus you can get it with more than 200 hp.
