Produced between the 1964 and 1987 model years, the Oldsmobile 442 is nothing short of legendary, with the earlier model years considered to be particularly desirable among collectors. Checking over the specs, the example seen here looks to tick all the boxes, and in an interesting twist, it was even previously owned by actor Charlie Sheen. Now, this handsome machine is up for grabs in a new online auction.
The auction listing is described as a 1967 Oldsmobile 442 Sports Coupe, and true to the name, the car is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhaust. This Olds is also equipped with the W-30 package, making it one of only 502 units produced for the 1967 model year to satisfy NHRA homologation rules.
Providing the motivation is a 400 cubic-inch V8, which features the upgraded air induction system, a hotter cam, and relocated battery to make room for the air hoses, plus red plastic inner fender liners, all included as part of the W-30 package. Meanwhile, the body panels are finished in Saffron paint, the same hue as when the car originally left the factory, however this Olds was repainted in 2018 as part of a restoration.
Additional features include 14-inch Magnum 500-style wheels wrapped in Firestone redline tires, while drum brakes provide the stop. The interior shows black vinyl for the front bucket seats and a rear bench, with an aftermarket radio, heater, and a Hurst shifter rounding out the cabin. Power steering is included as well.
According to the listing, the car was previously owned by actor Charlie Sheen between 1991 and 2002, and there is documentation highlighting as much included as part of the sale. The car was also featured in the February 2004 issue of Muscle Car Enthusiast. The vehicle is currently located in Boca Raton, Florida, and is offered with a clean Florida title. The odometer shows 53,000 miles.
The auction is set to conclude on Thursday, August 29th, with the current highest bid as of this writing (8/27/2024) set at $7,500.

Believe the vehicle will bring a little North of $7500.
Would probably be a good idea to run a police narcotics K-9 around that car a couple of times. Just to be sure.
Probably comes with mirror razor blade and a rolled up $100 bill
