The refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade got its big reveal a few weeks ago, showing off a long list of updates and changes to the exterior, the interior, the tech, and the powertrain lineup. Naturally, we here at GM Authority enjoy taking a deep dive when it comes to GM’s latest products, and to that end, we’ll soon be talking to an Escalade product manager to get the inside scoop. Which leads us to ask – what do you want to know about the 2025 Escalade?
While there is already a good deal of information already available on the 2025 Escalade, there’s undoubtedly some finer details that readers are curious to learn.
Highlights from the 2025 Escalade’s reveal include a new look, with the front end redesigned to incorporate styling cues pulled from the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ, Celestiq, and Lyriq. These include vertical light housings positioned on either side of the fascia, as well as thin upper lighting signatures on either side of the grille. The front end also incorporates an illuminated Cadillac crest as standard. Further exterior features include new 24-inch wheel designs, the largest-ever wheel diameter on offer for the Escalade, as well as three new exterior colors.
The updates continue into the cabin with a 55-inch display that combines a 35-inch driver readout with a 20-inch front passenger display. The new screen layout gives another nod to the Escalade IQ and Celestiq. Other interior features include 5G connectivity, an AKG stereo, and standard GM Super Cruise, while the new Executive Second Row package adds even more comfort for rear-seated passengers.
As for the powertrain spec, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine is equipped as standard, while the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine was discontinued. The supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine is standard on the Escalade-V.
Production of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is expected to kick off in October at the GM Arlington plant in Texas, with the GM T1 platform providing the underpinnings. Interestingly, GM recently announced that it was increasing Escalade-V production to meet higher-than-expected demand.
With so many exciting updates, we want to know what questions you have about the 2025 Escalade. Are you curious about the new tech features, or perhaps the redesigned interior and exterior? Maybe you want more details about the powertrain options and performance? Whatever it is, sound off in the comments, and we’ll make sure to get the answers from the experts at Cadillac. How do you access the third row with the executive package and does this option reduce third row leg room? Is it possible to have screens on back of executive package seats in middle row also? Thanks!
The seats will likely be able to fold and slide forward I would guess??
My guess is a button that when pressed will have the seat automatically move fowards and close as much as possible to allow easier entry. After entry, hitting the button again (or holding it down) would return the seat to its prior position?
Why borrow cues from. The EV?
1. Where is the ambient lighting? It has it….but where is it?
2. Powered privacy shades were mentioned for the back passengers but they are not obvious in any of the pictures. Do they exist?
3. Do the seats message the back AND the bottom? Looks to me like it is only the back. That is a miss in my book:(
I do like the design and am excited to actually see the car in person:)
1. Will the Executive 2nd row seating have power seat movement and cooling like the 1st row?
2. What are the available exterior colors and show color chips or examples.
3. What screen options will the passenger side dash screen have available to it?
4. When will pricing and specific orders be accepted at local dealerships?
I am interested in knowing more about the new renaissance red interior ,will it be offered on all trim levels and what does it actually look like
I am interested in this as well, missed it in the press release…..I am hoping it is exclusive to platinum levels however.
1.Exterior paint colors.
2. Upholstery colors.
3. Prices and specifications.
4. Can you see windshield heads-up display while wearing polarized sunglasses?
5, When can dealers submit orders?
When is the build and price feature coming for the Escalade ?
I would like to know What different kinds of interiors will be available in the 2025 escalade. And of course, I would like to know the price, as well as when I can order the 2025 escalade from a dealer in Tracy CA. Thank you in advance for your response.
Escalade V production is being increased for 2025. Will 2025 be the last year for the 6.2 supercharged V8 due to stricter emission regulations?
I have a 2022 Escalade with the “Brandy with very dark atmosphere” interior (kind of a baseball-glove-leather color). That upgrade option was not available on the Sport Platinum trim, so I had to downgrade a level and add options to get close to the Platinum with that interior. Will the Brandy interior be available on the 2025 Escalade, and if so, will it be available on the Platinum trim level?
Also, when I did that, the two things that weren’t available as options below the Platinum trim level were the alcantara headliner and the massaging seats. Will the massaging seats be available below the Platinum trim level?
And as one other comment asked: what are the interior color options for the various trim levels?
Finally, my local dealer said that initially they have to take what the plant sends them, and for a while they might be locked out of ordering Escalades to a customer’s specs. Is that true, and if so, for how long?
Thanks very much! Love your daily e-mail updates about all things GM!
Marc
I’m curious to know why they discontinued the diesel option. Are they simplifying the lineup now that the Escalade IQ is becoming available?
One other question an earlier comment might have asked: when will the online configurator be up and running? Looks like the 2024 one is not working now. Thanks!
Any indication that Apple Car Play will return to Cadillac/GMC/GM?
I think so. The press release said “ Curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch total diagonal display for an immersive and personalized infotainment experience with voice control, navigation, an app store, and more. Apple CarPlay1 and Android Auto2 are also available.”
You are correct, the press release actually states that. Thank you for pointing it out. There is hope.
Google maps built in are much better than anything from apple. You can still sync your telephone to the car. In addition, there is the added layer of onstar services.
Will the Sport Platinum be available without the rear tv screens?
It seems most people do not want these unless you have children that are toddlers and younger. I have a 2023 Sport Platinum now and would love to order the 2025 Sport Platinum without them but it’s currently not an option. They are very large and are always in the way with school age children.
Can the driver open the cargo door without getting out of the car?
Is there a “grab bar” on the driver’s door to assist entry & exit?
At least on my 2022 the answer to both of those questions is yes.
The 2025 Tahoe/Suburban lineup has suspension changes to have a more compliant ride and handle better. Please ask if the 2025 Escalade will also have any suspension changes from the pre-facelift model? Thank you!
when will the 2025 build & price configurator be working on Cadillac’s website? Also, does anyone know why you can’t sign up for updates from the Cadillac website. It sez, “sorry we can’t find what tour looking for”.
