The 1987 Buick Regal definitely has some style, and this particular example is no exception. In fact, this modified Regal has even more drip than the original, boasting a variety of modifications headlined by a new naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 engine swap. Now, this ride is up for grabs in a new online auction.
According to the seller, the vehicle is outfitted with a GM-sourced naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 engine is rated at roughly 275 horsepower. The engine is fitted with an LS2 engine cover, which was apparently installed by the previous owner, although the engine is not a 6.0L, but is in fact an unidentified 5.3L unit. The factory spec for this model was a 3.8L V6, which means this configuration makes more power than the original. Output is routed through the 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission.
Upgrades include a Spectre Performance cold air intake, an aftermarket exhaust, and a few engine dress-up components. There’s also a set of 17-inch Boyd Coddington wheels, aftermarket suspension components, and Aerospace Components brake calipers matched with drilled and slotted rotors. The exterior shows de-badged body panels and a subtle rear lip.
As an offset for the white exterior, the interior is decked out in red upholstery that makes the whole package really shine. Inside the cabin, you’ll find Dakota Digital instrumentation, aftermarket stereo equipment, an aftermarket steering wheel, plus a few other aftermarket components.
Now, this modified Buick Regal is up for grabs at cars & bids. The car is listed as “Mostly Florida-Owned” and is located in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The car includes a clean title, although it also has an unknown number of miles on it (TMU). The current highest bid as of this writing is set at $5,616, with the auction set to end tomorrow afternoon.

I just paid a lot less than that for an ’84 Cutlass Supreme 2 door with a 307 Olds V-8. I absolutely love it. Don’t hold your breath waiting for me to do an LS swap. Won’t happen.
Hot rodding is good
I miss mid-size coupe’s. They were perfect for tall people like me.
Sold for 10k, can’t build the drivetrain for that cheap.
Take the Corvette cover off of that thing since they was the ones that didn’t like the Buick Grand national
