The third-generation Chevy Colorado got its big debut in 2022 for the 2023 model year, introducing a long list of updates and changes for the pickup nameplate. Five trim levels are offered, including the base-level WT and the LT, plus three off-roader trims – Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2. Now, GM Authority is getting hands-on with the mid-range Chevy Colorado LT in the following walk-around video, providing a four-minute overview of the pickup’s exterior features.
GM Authority Executive Editor Alex Luft acts as host, showcasing the mid-grade LT finished in Harvest Bronze Metallic paint.
Starting up front, the truck is equipped with a black grille and a gold Chevy Bow Tie badge prominently displayed at the center. Daytime running lights (DRLs) are positioned in the top corners of the fascia, matched with horizontally oriented headlights. Fog lights and unique “nostrils” are integrated into the grille. The front end also incorporates a set of tow hooks and a prominent air dam.
Moving to the profile, we find a set of Goodyear Wrangler tires mounted on silver and black 18-inch wheels. The fenders are big and boxy, adding to the rugged aesthetic, while body-color mirror caps and Colorado badging further highlight the design.
At the rear, the Colorado LT features a debossed Chevrolet script across the tailgate, plus a backup camera and modern tail light design. The corner steps were also redesigned to work with the rear sensors, and there’s a single exit exhaust pipe. The bed area is equipped with an easy lift and lower tailgate, a ruler along the outer edge of the tailgate for measurements, and the StowFlex storage system.
The third-gen Chevy Colorado LT cradles the turbocharged 2.7L I4 gasoline engine available in two output levels, including the base-level L2R (237 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque), as well as the more-powerful L3B (310 horsepower, 430 pound-feet of torque). All third-gen Colorado variants ride on the updated 31XX-2 platform while production takes place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

I like these new Colorados better than the current Silverados.

I wonder if they fixed the roof denting issues still cannot take my 2023 through the car wash even with GM’s fix installed. I love the truck they seem to have the electrical gremlins taken care off, but dents in the roof are a real turnoff and hard to explain to the general public.
