Poll: Guess The Price Of The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1

The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 got its big debut just a few days ago, revealing a twin-turbo track monster with over 1,000 horsepower. It’s an impressive bit of kit, and the spec sheet is nothing short of astonishing. The question, then, becomes this – what’s the price for entry?

The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1.

General Motors has yet to announce official pricing information for the 2025 Corvette ZR1, but looking over what’s on offer, we can speculate that it will likely cost a pretty penny indeed. After all, the ZR1 is the new range-topper of the C8 lineup (at least until the C8 Zora debuts), and with the C8 Stingray starting at $69,995, the C8 E-Ray starting at $108,595, and the C8 Z06 starting at $113,795, you can bet the MSRP for the C8 ZR1 will be deep into the six-figure range. For reference, the most expensive non-ZR1 C8 on offer is currently the Corvette Z06 3LZ Convertible, which is tagged with an MSRP of $134,345. Check out our previous coverage for more 2025 Corvette pricing information.

So what makes the C8 ZR1 so special as to justify such lofty prices? Well, for starters, there’s the engine, specifically the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7, a flat-plane crank DOHC fire-breather capable of doling out 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. Properly applied to the rear wheels, it’s enough to send the new ZR1 down the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds, with top speed estimated at more than 215 mph.

Of course, all that go is complemented by all the right bits and pieces to balance it out, including Magnetic Ride suspension, massive carbon ceramic brakes, and new aero components to boot. Go for the optional ZTK package, and you’ll get enough wing to generate 1,200 pounds of downforce at top speed.

Impressive stuff, but that still doesn’t answer the question – how much will the ZR1 cost? I am sure GM has made much more in profits from the millions of Corvettes over the years than Volkswagen has from the very few Porsches they sell.

They are each attracted to different people.

    2. John, it’s funny you call people selling things at prices people are willing to pay a ripoff.

I noticed homeowners selling homes the last few years for large amounts more than they paid because of the large appreciation since covid.

On top of that the buyers and sellers pay the realtors a percentage of those transactions just because.

I sure hope I find you advocating against all industries buying and selling things for a profit. Go to Russia and enjoy communism.

    2. Hey Tony, I am on many lists for the ZR1 for around 3 years now. After calling many of the dealerships that I am on the list, I likely won’t be able to purchase one because of the amount they believe they are allocated versus where I am on the list. Do you have a source on the information where Chevy says it will meet demand and sell you one as long as you have the funds? Also, if accurate that they will, any advice on aquiring one other than the lists I joined 3 years ago. Thanks.

    1. The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the Porsche 911 have been rivals for over 50 years, and both are considered supercars. When developing the 2025 Corvette ZR1, Chevrolet used the 991-generation Porsche 911 GT2 RS as a benchmark. The GT2 RS is the ultimate turbocharged version of the 991-generation 911 and holds the Nurburgring production car lap record.

With that being said , I’m expecting around 155k base to 230k with all the options and add ones.

Give GM credit bc they have given the normal person a shot at owning a hyper car unlike Ford who marks the price up into the stratosphere and makes you submit an application and must be famous! Thank you GM for giving the “little guy” a chance at owning a car like this!! What I wish GM would do is say no dealer mark ups and if you mark it up, you don’t get another allocation. Also, non-transferable warranty until after 2 years of ownership would cut down on flippers.

    Reply
  20. You will see dealer rip-off additional dealer profit/mark-up of minimum $50,000 to $150,000 at the beginning.
There are a few dealers left whom will sell for MSRP.

What is the General going to do on this one to control the flippers?

    Reply
  21. No matter the price, people will pay over MSRP to get one, just like they did with the C8, Z06, and now the E-Ray and ZR1. Eventually, demand and prices will drop. Two dealers in my area currently have 6-10 2024 C8s on their lots and are offering $6,000 off MSRP. Next year, they’ll likely be discounting Z06s. Customers who had deposits on Z06s are now shifting to the ZR1, seeking the latest and greatest. Next year, we’ll see this happen with the Zora, marking the end of the C8’s life cycle.

  22. I’m going to say $174,995 base price for the coupe and $191,595 for the convertible… probably the most performance for the money than anything else out there. Just a brilliantly engineed masterpiece that I’ll never be able to afford, unfortunately.

    Reply
  23. The Z06 is priced at about 65% more than the Stingray. Applying the same percentage increase to the ZR1 over the Z06 gets to $188K, which sounds a bit high. I’d vote for $174,999. Of course the ADM would go sky high, say $250K-$275K. That’s getting into Ferrari country, so it won’t stay there.

Probably settle after a year at $200-$225K.

  28. Merpeople—$about $180,000 , but you’ll never get one for quite a while at that price. Dealers get too money hungry, and will add some “extra” that’s not worth anything and jack up the price to WAY over $200,000, just you wait an see!

  29. I think GMC should have had firm pricing before introducing any of the new Vettes. Depending on what vehicle’s in the market they’re actually targeting, the Vette should actually be more. I would start the pricing for the new ZR1 about $300,000.00 because of the expensive cars it’s capable of competing with. The h.p. is there but the top end speed isn’t. I can tell it’s drag limited. If the car was shaped a little smoother for top speed they should be able to get more. The Ford GT has 670-680 h p. and does 217 mph. Lamborghini Aventador has borderline 700 h p. and does 217 m p.h.

  33. Starts at $169K and if you didn’t get on a list for one in 2018 at a volume MSRP dealer (I’m not kidding – 2018 is when the lists started) you’re either not getting one, you’re paying 100K+ ADM to a dealer or you’re paying 100K ADM for one on BaT with no warranty. Gonna be another minefield of flippers and dealer shenanigans with a multitude of ‘constraints’ that ruin your order resulting in a lot of disappointed and angry GM customers….AGAIN.

As far as the price my 2023 ZO6/ZO7 was over $165,000 and as a 2024 would be about $173,000.
With the extra set of tires and wheels, I would think most people wouldn’t want to run the CF wheels and Cup 2Rs daily, the stone protection, sales tax ur at about $200,000.
I would think a loaded ZR1 would be around $270,000 without dealer mark up.
I would never take an entry level ZR1 over a loaded ZO6.

Those blue hemorrhoid fools are asking $400K for a Mustang. A street legal one, no less! For that kind of coinage it had better say “Property of RFK Racing” somewhere on it and come with a spare engine and Goodyears.

If, and this is a HUGE if, if Chevrolet is going to keep the order book wide open with regards to ANY 2025 Corvette, then I’m going to go with $249.999.95 for a fully optioned 2025 ZR1 Corvette. $299,999.95 for a Zora, provided the book stays open.

Chevrolet can get a TON of warm and fuzzy feelings of goodwill by keeping the order book open. Dealers will lose all incentives to play their usual MSRP shenanigans.
