Poll: Guess The Price Of The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1
112Sponsored Links
The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 got its big debut just a few days ago, revealing a twin-turbo track monster with over 1,000 horsepower. It’s an impressive bit of kit, and the spec sheet is nothing short of astonishing. The question, then, becomes this – what’s the price for entry?
General Motors has yet to announce official pricing information for the 2025 Corvette ZR1, but looking over what’s on offer, we can speculate that it will likely cost a pretty penny indeed. After all, the ZR1 is the new range-topper of the C8 lineup (at least until the C8 Zora debuts), and with the C8 Stingray starting at $69,995, the C8 E-Ray starting at $108,595, and the C8 Z06 starting at $113,795, you can bet the MSRP for the C8 ZR1 will be deep into the six-figure range. For reference, the most expensive non-ZR1 C8 on offer is currently the Corvette Z06 3LZ Convertible, which is tagged with an MSRP of $134,345. Check out our previous coverage for more 2025 Corvette pricing information.
So what makes the C8 ZR1 so special as to justify such lofty prices? Well, for starters, there’s the engine, specifically the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7, a flat-plane crank DOHC fire-breather capable of doling out 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. Properly applied to the rear wheels, it’s enough to send the new ZR1 down the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds, with top speed estimated at more than 215 mph.
Of course, all that go is complemented by all the right bits and pieces to balance it out, including Magnetic Ride suspension, massive carbon ceramic brakes, and new aero components to boot. Go for the optional ZTK package, and you’ll get enough wing to generate 1,200 pounds of downforce at top speed.
Impressive stuff, but that still doesn’t answer the question – how much will the ZR1 cost? I’ll guess about $200k msrp and wouldn’t be surprised to see $500k asking prices with dealer ripoff added early on.
Agreed, Chevy will never match the build quality of Porsche. Hp sell cars but that doesn’t mean it’s worth the same.
Porsche stylings are stuck in the 1950s. You can’t tell them apart. Owned by Volkswagen look like Volkswagen’s.
I am sure GM has made much more in profits from the millions of Corvettes over the years than Volkswagen has from the very few Porsches they sell.
They are each attracted to different people.
For decades….Porsche is NOTHING BUT A OVERGROWN BETTLE; VOLKSWAGEN….PERIOD… WITH 6 CYLINDERS. the ONLY..AS IN ONLY Porsche ever worth getting was their V8 model 928…. PERIOD . It was available from 1978-1995… and was the star car…in Tom Cruise’s movie “risky business “… that Porsche 928 was worth having… EVERY OTHER PORSCHE SINCE OR BEFORE…ATE SIMPLY WAY OVERPRICED BETTLES…
I still have IMS nightmares! I love my C8…
John, it’s funny you call people selling things at prices people are willing to pay a ripoff.
I noticed homeowners selling homes the last few years for large amounts more than they paid because of the large appreciation since covid.
On top of that the buyers and sellers pay the realtors a percentage of those transactions just because.
I sure hope I find you advocating against all industries buying and selling things for a profit. Go to Russia and enjoy communism.
Nah, you can 100% be for capitalism but still call out absurd gouging when you see it.
I would say about $205K base price for coupe,
$215K for convertible.
Fully loaded, $245K-$255K.
Would be pocket change compared to its highest price competitors in super car territory.
Anything over 911 prices is dumb af.
Of course a car that could run rings around a 911 should definitely be priced lower, that would be completely logical (if you ignore performance and specs, etc.). 🤦♂️
911’s are illogical, as are rolls, Bentleys and Bugattis. I hear “tuck and trim” all the time, but when a jeep uses as much or more leather than a rolls, there’s an issue.
I revised my estimate to 200 plus
$199,995.
177,600$ Amurica Dollars Baby!!
I say $175,000.00 as a base MSRP…Chevy already said they’ll make as many as demand dictates.
I was thinking about that same price, hoping it would be a little cheaper, a well equipped one should go around $175k
Hey Tony, I am on many lists for the ZR1 for around 3 years now. After calling many of the dealerships that I am on the list, I likely won’t be able to purchase one because of the amount they believe they are allocated versus where I am on the list. Do you have a source on the information where Chevy says it will meet demand and sell you one as long as you have the funds? Also, if accurate that they will, any advice on aquiring one other than the lists I joined 3 years ago. Thanks.
Hey, buy one out of Canada. It is illegal here for a dealer to sell over MSRP. I got one of the first C8s for straight MSRP.
Yeah base,I beat u can’t buy one of under $200k
169,995 MSRP
+ add-pms
269,995 MSRP
The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the Porsche 911 have been rivals for over 50 years, and both are considered supercars. When developing the 2025 Corvette ZR1, Chevrolet used the 991-generation Porsche 911 GT2 RS as a benchmark. The GT2 RS is the ultimate turbocharged version of the 991-generation 911 and holds the Nurburgring production car lap record.
With that being said , I’m expecting around 155k base to 230k with all the options and add ones.
Mercedes-AMG holds that’s record your speaking of, not the porche.
AMG GT Black Series holds the record, the only way the Porsche won was from an aftermarket kit added long after the car’s actual production years.
$164,995 base, $200,000 nicely optioned, $225,000 fully optioned. Dealers who are not overtly gouging will charge $20,000 over msrp.
Sounds about right!!
I think $179,995 base to fully optioned of $224,9995. Of course the rip off a dealer mark up should be expected. $25K.
An utterly useless article as price depends on so many factors, making guesswork a futile pastime.
No matter what the price or.that is one nice vehicle lf I had that kind of money I would on one. Corvette is my favorite car.
base coupe $149,995
ZTK convertible $209995
I think a base price of $149k with full options maybe $185k. Corvette is a very worthy Chevrolet, but, the DNA of Chevrolet is good value, not overpriced exotic car, like Ferrari’s and Lambo’s.
I say no matter what the price it will still be the best bang for the buck especially when compared to most exotics !
Anyone want to guess the wait time for a ZR1?
Right about when the lunatics actually ban ICE.
When the C9 is released…
Unless ‘Joe’ can purchase this amazing unit, It’s totally doesn’t matter the cost. A useless article.
I’m not sure about the price of the new z corvette, but it would definitely make picking up the groceries a lot more fun !
My C8 goes to Costco twice a week!
I think it would be priced under 150k base (staying true to performance bargain branding), but dealer mark ups would take it to about 200k
175,000 – 180,000
TOO MUCH.
I’ve waited over three years for my C8 Z06 because I refuse to pay dealer rip off mark ups.
Give GM credit bc they have given the normal person a shot at owning a hyper car unlike Ford who marks the price up into the stratosphere and makes you submit an application and must be famous! Thank you GM for giving the “little guy” a chance at owning a car like this!! What I wish GM would do is say no dealer mark ups and if you mark it up, you don’t get another allocation. Also, non-transferable warranty until after 2 years of ownership would cut down on flippers.
You will see dealer rip-off additional dealer profit/mark-up of minimum $50,000 to $150,000 at the beginning.
There are a few dealers left whom will sell for MSRP.
What is the General going to do on this one to control the flippers?
