Dash cam footage from the Arkansas State Police has captured a brief, but intense pursuit between law enforcement and a driver in a fifth-generation Chevy Camaro convertible. The chase concludes after just a single corner, with the driver spinning the sports car almost instantly and then engaging in a physical altercation with law enforcement. The suspect is now in custody and facing a list of serious charges.
The video, posted just a few days ago, indicates that the incident that took place late last month near Fort Smith, Arkansas. The footage begins with a police officer pulling into a parking lot, looping around to another exit where the Chevy convertible is seen attempting a left-hand turn. The officer follows closely, maneuvering around traffic to close in on the droptop. As the Chevy driver moves into a turning lane, the officer remains locked behind them. Suddenly, the Camaro merges back into traffic and accelerates.
Police give chase, with speeds climbing to 60 mph through town. The Camaro driver then approaches an intersection, moves into the turning lane, and drives through a red light in an attempt to escape. As the driver accelerates around the corner, the rear end of the Camaro loses grip and the vehicle spins, facing the wrong direction.
The police officer seizes the opportunity to ram the Chevy Camaro, causing the dash cam to fall to its side. The officer exits the vehicle with his gun drawn, commanding the Camaro driver to exit the car. The officer then pulls the driver out as the police car slowly drifts backward.
The video then captures a physical struggle between the officer and the driver, with both individuals rolling on the pavement. Bystanders rush to assist, and although the camera angle doesn’t provide a clear view, it’s evident that the driver is eventually subdued and arrested.
The driver is now in custody and is facing multiple charges, including battery of a police officer and possession of illegal substances.

How can the driver “get out of the car..NOW” when they have been ordered numerous times to “show me your hands”???? Then the obscenity spewing cop decides to tackle the person rather than answer their question of “what did I do”…allowing the now un-occupied car to roll away into oncoming traffic!!! Hopefully this officer was fired for his actions. Which, by the way started with the officer REPEATEDLY driving left of center, in the WRONG lane, in the parking lot long before even approaching the Camaro and initiating a high speed pursuit though a crowded city center. Oncoming vehicles in the same parking lot were having to stop / dodge the cop car top avoid a head-on collision!
Hopefully all that stupid occupying space in your head isn’t painful.
Moron
Haha, looks like they didn’t like my calling out C8LOVR (aka “The Moron”} as a cop-hating leftist and deleted my original post. Boo Hoo!!!
If the police has his siren on you are to pull over and stop. He has to go around cars if he is in pursuit. If you drive you should know that..
LOVE COPS HATE BAD GUYS AND STUPID POSTERS!
His anti-police rant is what we usually hear from extreme right-wing MAGA types. The average left wing and normal right-wing citizens are pro-police and the jobs they have to do. MAGA cult members are the ones who failed to obey the law on January 6th while trying to overthrow the government. They proved they don’t like cops or laws.
Eldo, the emperor of Bizarro World!
“Whad ah do ?” … “Ah dint do nuffin .”
I’m just curious as to why the officer started the pursuit in the first place … like what was his probable cause? The Camaro driver clearly had issues, but there’s no way that cop saw that Camaro in the parking lot from where he was on the street. We’re missing the important part of what led to the officer going after the Camaro.
Leaving the business, the Camaro crossed against traffic and across the left turn lane and yellow lanes to get to the far lane of traffic instead of driving to the intersection to cross, and was driving aggressively. Plenty of probable cause.
Sorry Paulie, cops can sense bad players as proven by this P.O.S.. You cannot make a call from your keyboard in the basement!
Sorry Don … you can’t “sniff out” a bad player if you can’t see him because your view is well obstructed either. Granted, the Camaro driver was/is an @$$ hat … and you can assume all you want about my living situation, but you’re clueless.
Paulie just validated my point, Camaro driver is P.O.S.. Wrong about Camaro guy, wrong about me being clueless.
