The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is available in four trim levels: Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, and Sport 2. The starting MSRP for these trims ranges from $129,990 for the Luxury 1 to $150,490 for the Sport 2. Each trim level offers a unique blend of features and styling elements.

Another notable factory option is the Smart Trailering Package (RPO code ZL6), priced at $2,470. This package is standard on the higher trims but optional on the lower ones, and it provides advanced trailering technology for those looking to use the Escalade IQ for more than just people hauling.

Speaking of people hauling, the Rear Seat Entertainment System (RPO code UW9) is another standout option, available across all trims for $1,995. Meanwhile, the Mobile Service Plus option is priced at $799, offering convenient at-home service options.

The exterior color choices also offer a range of options to personalize the Escalade IQ. Extra-charge colors include Black Cherry Tintcoat (paint code GAB) for $1,225 and Midnight Steel Frost (paint code GLG) for $5,925. More affordable options include Deep Space Metallic (paint code GAI) and Flare Metallic (paint code GSJ), both priced at $625.

  1. No diesel anymore?

    1. Rick: I think you missed the entire point of this article. It’s the Escalade IQ (EV).

      1. Well, the ICE Escalades don’t have the low power Diesel option in 2025 either… But since all EV articles like to brag about the tremendous torque of an EV, it follows that a 235 hp Diesel should be able to be replaced by a low hp ‘high torque’ electric.

To me at least GM is pricing this vehicle out of the market, rather like that somewhat silly Celestiq – a vehicle that will be obsolete prior to only a few hundred sales.

The only reasonable change I’ve seen lately with the Escalade IQ is making the 11 kw charger standard, the same as the later BOLTs. Most people will probably use the included 7 kw charging cord anyway.

But Crab walk, 4 wheel steering, 750 hp is somewhat ridiculous if the ICE escalade could survive with Diesel power in the 200s of horsepower. The big screen absolutely sucks in the 2 LYRIQs I’ve personally driven so I assume it is horrid here also. I thought GM had perfected touch screens until I bought a LYRIQ. Takes too long to reset the trip odometer or do other previously trivial operations.

Main feature I like is the 210 kwh battery, shared with the pickup truck evs. But this vehicle is much too pricey in comparison with the ICE Escalades.

        1. Haha the big experts have voted. No wonder so few comments

        2. Bill: Good info. Thanks.

BTW, all your negative votes (if that’s important, which it’s not) would most likely be from your dislike of these huge screens. You should know better than to come on GMA and diss these huge screens. haha.

I have the Bolt EV which has the central driver’s info behind the wheel and then a perfect sized center screen that is fantastic. It’s perfect size, responds ultra fast, has never glitched and is well designed INTO the dash. Not some ugly huge screen jetting up from the dash.

Hi, thanks, yeah my 2017 bolt was a bit glitchy at times with the center screen, but LG seems to have fixed it with my 2022 EUV, and 2023 Bolt EV.

I’m very satisfied with my 49,000 mile EUV. GM gave me a $1,400 virtual visa card if I did the virtual recall, given since people weren’t doing them, and then 6,200 miles later the recall software declared the battery in perfect health and allowed 100% charging again.

3 weeks later the battery crapped out. GM Detroit argued with my dealer but after 2 weeks delivered a brand New (unused) battery for it !!!

Earlier this year I got a brand new 102.5 kwh battery for my Lyriq Luxury 2023 model.

I don’t think Ford or Chrysler/Fiat/Stellantis would be nearly as magnanimous.

  2. Too rich for my blood.

  3. Semi-interesting, although $USD 48,000 more than the base Gasoline Escalade. That’s enough of a difference to make me think twice.

It would be interesting to compare this vehicle with the upcoming Vistiq.

    Reply
    1. I expect Vistiq will be around 30 less than the slade across trim levels, so will start at 100. I was pretty much spot on on the slade pricing last year. Everyone here said no way will it be that expensive, and yet it is. Top trim is right at a ICE V version. The V you are paying the CAFE penalty in the price while the ev slade is all about the battery cost.

      1. IF you want a 7 passenger electric, then you could almost buy 2 kia ev9’s for the price. A friend bought the 2wd 210 hp 98 kwh version, and it has adequate power for highway driving, contrary to what all the big experts say. Nice big vehicle – charges twice as fast as my Lyriq. with the same 100 kw EVGO fast charger. When they start making the KIAs in the states, they’ll get $7,500 cheaper.

If you want a good deal, some dealers are offering an AWD Blazer EV for $42,000. Assuming you get $7,500 off that price, its a steal. A few thousand cheaper than an Equinox EV.

        Reply
        1. This will have about twice the range as the EV9 and have more room.

          Reply
          1. So that makes it worth it at triple the cost? Not to me it doesn’t.

I suspect this will not sell well.
Oh by the way the 2wD ev9 goes more than 230 miles, so you are understating the competition.

The Ultra Cruise, which might have been offered on this vehicle would have been a unique and desirable option as a door to door automatic driver, alas GM can’t get it working right so they dropped the option, which now is only the rarely available Super Cruise.

  4. At this price-point, you expect something good looking. Subtle features that get better every time you see it. Style that ages / evolves well.

The rear end of this thing is really difficult to understand the more you look at it. Almost a kit-car feel…with those tail lights coming from the last couple years of the XTS, but put on backwards.

IMHO, there’s cutting edge design that shakes things-up like the 1949 swepback Cadillac….and then there’s this cobbled-together mess.

  5. I’ve always admired the Cadillac design language, though I’ve always gone with Yukon Denalis over the years. But take away the Cadillac badge, and this could pass as a Hyundai, particularly the rear. But I wish them the best!!
