Here Are The Production Numbers For 2024 GMC Hummer EV Omega Edition Pickup And SUV

No matter the spec, the GMC Hummer EV definitely has the goods to stand out in a crowd. Even so, some buyers will no doubt want something with even more custom flair to it. For folks like that, the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Omega Edition seems like the right choice. Notably, production numbers for the Omega Edition are even lower than originally anticipated.

The GMC Hummer EV Omega Edition will be limited to less than 2,000 units.

It was originally anticipated that General Motors would produce 2,000 units of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Omega Edition Pickup and SUV. However, GMC has since revealed on its consumer website that production of the Omega Edition will in fact be limited to 550 examples for the Pickup body style and 1,108 examples for the SUV body style, making for a total of 1,658 units for the Omega Edition Hummer EV. As such, the Omega Edition will be even more of a rarity than was initially believed. It also bears mentioning that GM will only offer the Omega Edition for the all-electric off-roader’s 2024 model year, with the package deleted with the launch of the 2025 model year, as GM Authority covered.

The Omega Edition boasts several standout features. Standard equipment includes the Extreme Off-Road Package, which adds in skid plates, locking differentials, rocker protectors, underbody cameras, and more. The vehicle’s aesthetic appeal is enhanced by black exterior badges and transparent Sky Panels. Additionally, the Omega Edition rolls on exclusive 18-inch gloss black beadlock-capable wheels with Carbon Flash trim rings.

Inside, the Omega Edition incorporates a high lux carpet flooring insert. The Pickup variant also includes the MultiPro tailgate audio speaker system by Kicker, while the SUV variant is decked out with a black beadlock mounted spare wheel and a spare tire cover. Both variants are draped in exclusive Neptune Blue matte paint (paint code GLG).

Obviously, pricing isn’t cheap. The Omega Edition is only available only for the top 3X trim level, with model pricing starting at $149,995 for the Pickup and $139,995 for the SUV.

As a reminder, the GMC Hummer EV rides on the GM BT1 platform, while GM Ultium Drive motors and GM Ultium batteries provide the motivation. Production of the GMC Hummer EV takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.

  1. Does this mean that they couldn’t find 2000 customers.

    1. Not for lack of trying. They keep calling, emailing and sending me physical mail begging me to buy one.

      1. Y’all are some truly sad and bored individuals to be coming here just to hate on the Hummer EV. I bet you’re all either Tesla Recall fanboys or Ford Recall fanboys.

  2. A rarity because the whole Hummer mess should never have existed. Especially at $140K+ for an unwanted EV. Very bad decision-making. Cancel them and admit you made a terrible mistake. Celestiq will be next.

    1. Beachy, you are nothing more than a big fat GM hater. Where is Tesla’s Celestiq competitor? Where is Ford’s Hummer competitor? Of course you want them to be canceled because their competitors cannot compete. You want to pretend GM is failing but you know it’s the complete opposite especially their Ultium platform and the success story it is. Isn’t the Cadillac Lyriq like the best seller of its segment? Ya know, one of the models the company actually wanted to be sold in great numbers? Not their $120,000 flagship GMC Supertruck or their exclusive flagship ultra-luxury $400,000 saloon from Cadillac. Of course these are the only two models you care to speak of as you frame your comment for these “unwanted” EVs. They’re so unwanted that you’re here triggered by them. What a clown.

  3. I would have bought one if they made them smaller.

    1. I’d own 2 if they had a Duramax in ’em.

  4. Worst thing you can ever buy it will be worth 1/3 of 110,000 in 5 years no warranty on used vehicle batteries

  5. You could not give me one

  7. The color and the name are perfect. I love that color, but I really love the name. It’s certainly giving me that gorgeous shade of blue that I think about whenever I see photos of planet Neptune and how cool to keep the interstellar space themes going. This theme is even in the Cadillac Sollei concept that was revealed a couple months ago, I think it’s very unique actually.
