The 2025 Chevy Malibu is the final model year of the sedan’s ninth generation, with the fate of the long-running Bow Tie nameplate unknown once 2025 model year production wraps up. Here, GM Authority is zooming in on the available interior colorways offered for the vehicle.
In all, there are four interior colorways offered across the 2025 Chevy Malibu sedan’s four trim levels, which include LS, RS, 1LT, and 2LT. All trim levels have a choice of two colorways, with the exception of the RS, which offers only a single interior color. Upholstery materials used are either premium cloth or perforated leather, as shown on the following table:
Seat | Color Code | LS | RS | 1LT | 2LT | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Dark Atmosphere / Medium Ash Gray | Premium Cloth | H1H | A | - | A | - |
Jet Black | Premium Cloth | H1T | A | A | A | - |
Dark Atmosphere / Light Wheat | Perforated Leather | HY5 | - | - | - | A |
Jet Black | Perforated Leather | H1Y | - | - | - | A |

None of the 2025 Chevy Malibu interior colors carry any additional cost. All can be ordered with any of the exterior paint colors offered for the 2025 Malibu. The only partial exception to this is Radiant Red Tintcoat (color code GNT), which cannot be ordered on the LS trim and therefore cannot be combined with LS interior colorways.
Pricing for the 2025 Chevy Malibu is slightly higher than the outgoing model year prices, as GM Authority discovered in May. The most affordable starting MSRP is $26,995 for the entry-level LS trim, with prices ranging up to $32,695 for the 2LT trim. The destination freight charge increased $100 for 2025, with the current $1,195 DFC included in these prices. The official configurator for the model is currently live.
For motivation, the 2025 Malibu cradles one powerplant choice under the hood. This engine, the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LFV gasoline engine developing 163 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
The Malibu utilizes the GM E2 platform for structure. Once production of the sedan ends, the next-generation all-electric Chevy Bolt EV will take over its assembly lines. The 2025 model year’s production got pushed back a second time to Thursday, July 18th, 2024, and takes place at the GM Fairfax plant in Kansas City.

Great. Thanks GM. Other choices besides just BLACK. . Thanks. Keep it up on all malkes, models and trims.
This needs to be the case with all GM vehicles like the new Equinox and Terrain and especially the Colorado and Canyon. Most of GM’s recently introduced models have been stuck with one color interior for each trim level mostly black. There at least needs to be a grey or tan/brown offered in addition to black.
I Like it Dark Atmosphere with Gray : mokka und gray with class and high level of sophistication
Maybe you all should just stop using the word color when referring to interiors and exteriors of GM vehicles. They don’t produce vehicles with color any more.
